I don't know, I haven't seen the remake yet.

it's beyond Fulci eye violence. Black X-Mas has prob the most eye stuff in a horror movie per minute, haha. It's crazy.

TCM put out their TCM Remembers 2015 video a few days ago. Sad to see so many familiar faces:

A John Waters double feature, both of which are tied for my fave pre-Polyester Waters film (Desperate Living is a close second, with Multiple Maniacs behind it):

A Madea Christmas - don't care what anyone says a Madea movie is awesome every once in awhile and this one was pretty nice. If only I hadn't been multi-tasking between watching it and playing xenoblade chronicles x(which I finally beat chapter 4 and now trying to level up and do a crap load of side, and affinity missions before heading to chapter 5...)

Gonna probably catch Star Wars tomorrow if I don't end up getting called in to work :P. Will probably catch the 9 or 10am showing at one of the local theaters to take advantage of the early bird special and possibly get a theater to myself. Then I might pull another early bird special and catch In the Heart of the Sea really want to see that while it still in theaters.

Lies. I bet it's a perfect likeness

Meanwhile, my mother took tomorrow off so that she could go see the new Star Wars  She has graciously allowed me to accompany her and already decreed that we will have to do a round of rock-paper-scissors to decide who gets to go and refill the popcorn bucket

I'm probably going to regret this, but I'm going to marathon the movies and wait for that to go to the discount theater(hopefully) then I'll watch it...no movie is worth it to see it before it hits the discount theater near me(new management/owners kept the one in matthews open and it looks like they still do discount tuesdays though I wish that was on a different day than tuesday...)

Oh, I almost forgot. Went to see The Good Dinosaur last weekend. Glad to see Pixar still delivering good movies. It's more bottom tier Pixar, mind, but that still puts it high and above a lot of other films.

It was a bit cliche in parts and I agree with what some others here about the slight disconnect between the characters and their surroundings. The scenery is by far some of the nicest I've seen put together, but the character models just do not measure up. Usually it was just noticeable enough that I could ignore it for the most part, but there were times when the characters stuck out like sore thumbs and my brain had to stop and restart the immersion process.

There, I just saved you half a day and a lifetime of continued heartache. (I don't care if you've already seen them before. There's no reason to relive it.)

And sadly, we don't have a discount theatre anywhere around here. It's either Regal or... Redbox :(

So that new Star Wars movie is pretty, pretty, pretty good.
