I really don't know if I'm going to like FFXV I really like the visual style, but after playing the Platinum Demo it just feels way to much like kingdom hearts was laughing my ass of when the giant room section popped up felt like the Alice in Wonderland area from the first KH .
Was surprised to see how much crap they are building up around it already as well. There is a five part anime series, a movie, and a phone app according to the game informer article from last month.

The merch/media tie-in is strong considering how shitty every single release in the series has been for years now, relative to the franchise's glory days. It looks like the FFVII remake will get the same treatment.
Be careful what you wish for...
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Still finding myself unable to care at all about the primary cast, so I have yet to even try a demo of it. Maybe it's actually better than "J-Rock band goes on a road trip", but I'm suspecting that might make it a harder sell than a lot of the other entries.
I have a feeling XV is going to turn out worse then XIII I just really don't like the new combat system. It seems like you essentially can hold down a single button and the game pretty much plays itself. The fact that there are buttons devoted to auto attack and auto dodge greatly saddens me .
Why oh why can't we just go back to turn based combat why fix shit that ain't broken.
I actually think XV looks promising. A lot of the key staff are people who did a lot for the PSX games, and some even from the series beginnings. I hear that Type-0 was darker and had a good story (bad voice acting aside I guess?), and it's a good sign to me the director for that one took over instead of Numera seeing it through to the end. From looking around in the past I think I confirmed that most of the key staff, writers, etc, from the XIII franchise are not attached to XV.
