oh I'm not dissing. I said it's cool to dislike Bay. I didn't say that I was cool. Personally, I love Bad Boys. That's just a great movie. I also thought the Friday The 13th (2009) re-hash that he produced was damn good.

Anyway, I love how this new TMNT is shaping up. It seems like it's going to draw heavily from the 80's animated series (Turtle Van shooting manhole covers, Bebop and Rock Steady, Casey Jones' look...) which could be pretty fun.

A pair of "Rocky Jones: Space Rangers" multi-part episodes edited together into feature films (each was ultimately about 70 minutes in length).

The first was "Crash of the Moons" and the second was "Menace from Outer Space", both from the same budget-priced box set.

I don't know a lot about old sci-fi programs or serials, and my only basis of comparison is a "Flash Gordon" serial I watched ages ago and remember nothing of.

A public domain horror anthology film called House of the Dead (aka Alien Zone).

So-so, generic AF horror anthology with a pretty predictable twist ending.

Rewatched A Diva's Christmas Carol.

Then followed that with Jingle all the Way. It sounds deja-vu-ish since that exact double feature was something I did some time ago.

And finally Slashed Dreams, an abyssmal public domain horror film.

Heist

This new "fantasy heist" flick isn't good, but it's not absolutely terrible either, if you suspend your belief long enough to garner some enjoyment out of it. That said, give me a true sequel to the first Speed.

During my workout today I wrapped up Escape from L.A. on Netflix. Wow. Cheesy flick, for sure, but has some genius moment and biting social commentary. I am convinced if the US ever becomes an autocratic state it'll happen the way it did in this film : )

watched the ridiculous 6 on netflix this weekend. yes it's stupid and another retread by the sand man. maybe his movies are a guilty pleasure of mine, but me and the wife enjoyed it. i didn't think sandler was funny at all, but everybody else was hilarious. a good movie to kill on a weekend for me. i also enjoyed grownups, so compared to all other reviewers, i'm an idiot lol.

Food inc....I can never look at supermarket meat the same way again....definitely going to try to get local humanely raised meats instead(screw the fda about not being clean this stuff is definitely better for you than cows and pigs sloshing around in their own feces in feedlots...). Plus perdue may be trying to change but I definitely don't believe it. It's not worth it when there's still lots of outbreaks mostly due to the animals diets(they're meant to eat grass not grain...). Definitely worth a watch though I got kinda nausous during the first half just because that is the part that deals with the meat industry(which is mainly controlled by 4-5 major producers). I think I now have a paper topic for my english class when we get to the research one(which is always a stumbling point).

I am still amused by the concept of humanely raised animals destined for slaughter. It's like how they swab your arm with alcohol before you get the lethal injection.

I'd rather eat a animal raised the way nature intended than one raised on a crowded feedlot that could've been contaminated by the feces of a sick animal worse than a humanely raised one. Humans aren't meant to eat all the chemicals, and everything else the animals and crops from the major producers put into them(and to be honest I can see why that causes the obesity problem in america...stuff is way too processed and no one takes the time to slow down and have a family meal if they can afford it). I plan on attempting to read "In defense of food" soon too...

I for one if fancy some meat order it from a place that I know where they get their stuff from, and I haven't been to a junkfood chain in years either. Anyway Americans consume too much meat, but attitudes are slowly changing into consuming the green stuff more.
