I am definitely thankful that wearing suits isnt an expectation. My work code is pants (jeans being acceptable) and a collared shirt, polo or buttoned.
Ive mentioned it before, but I actually don't even own a suit. Ive always just rented them when needed.
So you present yourself as some guy who rolled out of bed and may or may not play golf, but probably plays disc golf and smokes weed.

This isn't a judgment from me, but what people will see you as. That's all daisy with me.

So you sleep in jeans and a collared shirt? I dress similar to the thousands of other professional co-workers while avoiding a heat stroke from wearing a stuffy suit. So I assume they see me as a guy wearing business casual clothing.

That simply isn't true depending on where you work. That's typical IT attire in the NW often even for management.

You live in a very customer-facing world, so I totally get that "must look your best" mentality. I think a lot of us work in the backend world, where the only people you interact with are other employees of Corporation, Inc. If you came in sweatpants and a threadbare t-shirt you'd be classified as "just out of bed", otherwise the worst you get is "a bit underdressed in that Judas Priest t-shirt".

So uhhh big news I suppose, not sure if a 'smile' is appropriate because it's kinda *still* overwhelming.

Prooobably moving to Austin in the next few months. Aiming for around August.

Marriage is genuinely on the cards now, we plan to take care of it soon, at least legally, although some extraneous factors might complicate things quite a bit down the road.

Extraneous factors like the fact that in Februrary I came out as transgender. Planning to get on hormones and stuff once I'm in Austin and move on from there.

So yeah.

Bet you probably didn't expect that didja? :P

As I've already said, If that's what you feel is correct, then hopefully things will go smoothly so you can feel more comfortable being the real you. But otherwise, welcome back to talking about games and things.
