Played Ys Seven until my PSP battery started to die and all I gotta say is... it kicks ass.

This is one of those games that makes me wanna take a sick day and play for 10 hours straight.

Well since March 1st I have finished 1, 2, 3, and 6. I'll have to import 4 (both versions) and 5 sometimes later as they were never released in the States.

I can't say yet, but I think Seven will end up being my favorite. It's the most refined and lacks all the cryptic shit that made the older titles insufferable at times.

That said, Book I & II for the Turbo CD has the best music and art style.

It's okay....... It's one of those games that feels hard for all the wrong reasons, mainly because of some hit detection issues.

Play it if you're an Ys nut like me, if you only have a casual interest in the series I would just go for The Oath in Felghana (the remake) instead.

I'm about 7 hours into Ys Seven and I haven't died once. For the sake of comparison, Ys 1 is about five hours total and the last time I played it I saw the game over screen a good 40 or so times.

I guess this game is just "ysy".
