The house shows are sometimes referred to by the brand. It's like watching a PPV - there's music and pyro and they put on a complete card. I saw one with RAW wrestlers back in October and it was great.
Maybe this link will help.

I couldn't find a fight card, but the link does show some headliners who will be involved.

Fun things are fun. Awful movies aren't.

We're going to be super close to the action, and although wrestling isn't our "thing" it looks like it will be a blast. NASCAR isn't my thing either, but I would give it a shot.

Taint it? It practically made it. Without being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people (that... sounds like a Chinese curse) he would still be like Shane Helms with his Terra Rizing act and only Chyna in his corner. Without help reaching the top and learning the ropes (from some of the best in the business), no one would have cared what he did, no matter how big (and I mean size-wise) he got. (See your comments about Cena -- Levesque positioned himself to be a Wrestling God, much like the most recent Superstar to utter that term, which is impressive in itself.)

As for what Cena's future might be? I would totally believe it if, once he hits 40 (in 5 years), he gives up on wrestling and goes Hollywood. His quick-shifting demeanor is suited for any TV show, his build works for action movies, and he'll probably still have most of his original ligaments too.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I should have done a little research before hand as these tickets sent me back over $200.
I've only been to a one WWE house show, so I'm not sure how things are in the US but here the show (despite the big crowd) was kind of like "WWE light" as you put it, as far as intro/entrances are concerned. No pyros, no big screen for entrance videos, no Smackdown fist or any other props like that. They were on a tight scheulde so no time for that. IIRC there was no announcer tables either. The actual main matches for the evening did somewhat follow the ongoing real storylines, so it wasn't just randomg people going at it, but naturally there's no new major plot elements on these house shows as they aren't aired.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Because HBK changed at some point in his life, apparently when he found religion. He also owns up to every bad thing he's done. Triple H doesn't, and by most accounts hasn't really changed all that much at all over the years.
Razzmatazz wrote:Personally I feel Triple H is in the same league as Jericho, if not higher. He always sells a move well and genuinely looks like he is getting hurt. I prefer him as a bad guy, but that's only because some of my favourite WWE material was the McMahon-Helmsley era.
Nah, Jericho is way more versatile than Triple H and has probably had much more training. Hell, he came from Stu Heart's dungeon. Jericho can wrestle any style, any opponent. He's faster than Triple H, more athletic, and he's never been as injury prone as Triple H either. Hunter's not in his league. Jericho is far more talented. Even as a character Jericho has show more versatility over the years than Triple H. Triple H is Triple H, whether he's a face or a heel. He's the same guy. When Jericho went heel a few years ago in the WWE, he completely changed his character, started wearing suits and using big words to condescend to the audience. He dropped the rock star act completely. Jericho can reinvent himself. Triple H can't. It's either the game or DX guy, the only characters he knows, and they're not even that different from eachother

BurningDoom, am I correct in thinking the Kliq goodbye-in-the-ring moment pushed Triple H back a year on his Intercontinental title push? Seem to remember something about that in Bret's book.
The real reason that moment put him on Vince's shitlist was because he was publicly acknowledging that there was a group of guys behind the scenes running things and getting their own way. You guys are only proving my point. While Hunter would go on to politic his way around the WWF, Nash would go on to the do the same in WCW, along with Hogan

Maybe Hunter still would have made it big without the politics and without banging the boss's daughter, but it might have taken him longer and he probably wouldn't have accomplished quite as much as he has in his career. It is what is. The evidence is everywhere you look, there's a part of Hunter that is a total self centered dbag and always has been, which leaves a taint on his storied career

The bigger question is who cares?

The event was incredible. I had both Fandango and Cody Rhodes point directly at me and yell "Would you shut up? Shut up!". A few fans taught me a couple of chants including "Fancy Pants! Fancy Pants!" for Fandango and "Cody's Mustache!" for Rhodes.

The funniest chant though was when Shaemus fought Wade Barrett. Wade came out knocking the United States and our lack of manners. When Shaemus would beat the snot out of Wade, the coliseum would breakout into chants of "USA! USA!". My new friends and I started chanting "He's supposed to be from Ireland *clap clap, clap clap clap*!".

Fun times.
