Just... astounding. A 30 minute short, it's on Netflix, and it's quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen all year. Go watch it.

I'll bet he's talking about Kung Fury.

And if so, he's right, you should watch it.

let me type about this crap movie I just saw.

before my mind represses the memory of this piece of garbage.

I like to give movies the benefit of the doubt. Even with bad movies, I tend to trudge and watch it all the way to the end. And make my final decision. But this movie really tested my patience.

I watched this steaming pile dvd plastic with a friend because another friend of his recommended it. But even now I doubt that guys sanity.

This movie was included in some sort of movie 4 packs that they sell on the cheap.
But this movie instantly killed off the value of said set, just by being in it!

The movie starts well enough. Well that is for a schlocky B-movie. The only standout character was this guy:
Image

I know he's sort of famous because my friend says that he's some famous monster makeup guy artist. But I simply know him as "sex machine" from the movie 'Dusk till Dawn'

So I fell for the first opening zombie battle scene of this movie because of him. I had a glimmer of hope that this D-movie was going to be at least decent. But like a candy with a shiny, eye-catching wrapper, the treat inside was not delicious, but pure shit.

Zombies are out, the townsfolk kill them. There's a mysterious baddy. Kidnapped kids and a dead Sex Machine.

Then we get a time jump. Years Pass and the main baddy didn't die. He's back and worse now. He's recruited more victims the same kidnapped kids that grew up and died just so the title of the movie would make sense. Is he a zombie, a ghoul or a demon? The movie doesn't really explain. It did give something, but it makes no sense and it will make us all dumber by trying to repeat it!

People die again. A zombie outbreak happens again. And you want to know why? Because a rich dude wants to build a used car dealership on the Baddy's property!

The new main character that is the rich guy's son falls in love with a town girl who has a cliched tragic backstory. Tombs and caskets are moved and then the dead roam at night, led by the baddy. Little boring plots relevant to the crappy story are moving along, just to lead to the climax of the movie, a second zombie battle.

This second battle scene entertained me a teensy bit. And saying the word 'entertained' is quite the longshot. The editing and production values went to shit overdrive!

My friend long ago lost interest in the movie, but we both got a chuckle when I explained to him what was happening!

As the group of humans were having their monologue and some were battling outside. I noticed something. Bad editing! Inside the diner, the building where the final battle took place, it was daylight, while the outside of the diner was the middle of the night! It was jarring seeing scenes instantly change from indoors to out! People rushing out to kill zombies would leave a bright, daylight diner only to exit out into the darkness of the zombie attack.

I had more of a fun time saying "DAYTIME/NIGHTTIME" and hearing my friend laugh as the scenes changed wonkily!

Plus it seemed to me like there were now more zombies than townsfolk! And in the end the heroes win, but the baddie gets away. He growls and stares at the camera for some awkward seconds. And end scene!

Hopefully not to make a sequel to this turkey stuffed turd.

I guess this was a horror movie. Horrific for the viewer!

I give this movie 1 point for the bearable first scenes where zombies die and guns get used to waste said zombies.

I'll give it half a point because the gore and dead peoples makeup job was decent too. My good friend says they are the trademark works of the effects crew that's done classic zombie make up work already.

So me giving a rating of 1.5 out of 10 still seems like too much!

So please my friends and internet acquaintances, save yourself the pain unless you're a hardcore masochist and avoid this movie!

you've been warned!

That's what I get for just grabbing a random Google images hit. Yes, I was in fact talking about Kung Fury. Good guess.

Trains and werewolves worked together better than I expected. Not bad for a small budget horror. However to my dismay they totally wasted Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers) in this.

Watched true romance over the weekend. First time in 10 years and just as good. Probably my favorite Christian slater movie. The scenes of slater and oldman, Walken and hopper are epic still. I started to think, dam this is a hall of fame cast. About 15 or so stars scattered into this movie.

Just seen Spectre. Paid peak rate for a tuesday morning showing which made me a bit grumpy. No wonder this film had the highest grossing week in UK ever, every bastard showing is charged at peak.

The film itself kind of shaved close to not being worth it in the end. It wasn't as silly as Skyfall or as oblique with its references to previous Bonds, but it is far too long and a bit too pleased with itself. The opening few minutes are all done in one take which is technically impressive but it doesn't actually mean anything as far the film goes. If you recall the long shot in Goodfellas, the point of that was to show Henry's mob connections mean he can literally go wherever he wants and get what he wants with impunity. In Spectre it's just a cool take through the streets of Mexico City and then back to the usual action movie editing when the shooting starts. Somewhat disappointingly Christoph Waltz is playing exactly who you think he is. They even introduce an element to his backstory that ties him more closely with Bond that actually made me giggle; severe Austin Powers flashbacks. Plus Bond's blood is coursing with nanomachines so Q can monitor his performance. Finally caught up with Solid Snake on that front.

It's decent stuff but some side characters are underwritten, the main love interest is interesting at first because she won't immediately sleep with Bond and kind of sees through his behaviour. But then she does anyway and she also suddenly loves him forever which was dull.

It's mid-tier Bond for me. Better than Quantum of Solace, worse than Casino Royale, quite some way off Live and Let Die and You Only Live Twice. I find Daniel Craig as Bond is like Matt Smith was as The Doctor: great actors diminished by mediocre writers. Sure it's fun popcorn stuff, but it's also kind of empty at the end of the day. And I think Bond should be a bit classier than that.

It's been a day or two ago, but I re-watched THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Still think it drags, still think the acting is horrible, and overall it is not a good movie at all. It has all the suspension of sneaking out late, going to a dog track, placing a bet on a dog guaranteed to win, and leaving with your empty pockets out turned like a sad hobo. It makes as much sense as pairing a whopper with a bottle of expensive...or cheap Chianti. Well, a bottle of wine wouldn't hurt to pair with this movie.

But! I give credit where credit is due.

When Cat and Bat meet mean at first, it is terrible. But when Bat and Cat meet sweet...it's pretty great. Who is really wearing the mask? The Bat wears none, and the Cat dons a masquerade mask. Who is hiding what, and why? And then they dance, with both words and their feet. The implications and metaphors of this scene play out beautifully even with the forced foreshadowing. The scene reminds me with eloquence of ever grudge fuck I've had. And I know it is contradictory to use the words Eloquence and Grudge fuck in the same sentence, but it is very appropriate in this case. The scene is only a few minutes long, but is spectacular at showing the need of wanting to hate someone, while still wanting to...you know. Boinky Boinky sexy time.

Almost everything else is dumb, and Morgan and Caine are wasted as the dialogue is garbage. I still can't decipher half of Bane says, the Bat costume is terrible, and the bat plane is...I have no words for how laughable it is. It's a Batman movie so it should have some dumb stuff, but it's meant to be taken so seriously. Why?

And sure...the league of shadows (I guess, it's just a bunch of extras with no explanation) get a hold of some batmobiles. How'd they know to operate them? Why didn't they find the Batplane?

Why so many butt shots of Hathaway? I am NOT complaining on this one. Horrible on live tv, perfect on staged butt shots.
