It was alright, not as bloody as I thought it would be. 1st one will always be the best one.
Jurassic World had, in my opinion, a similar problem to the Star Wars movies after the initial trilogy: it's a good movie, but you can't recreate that original magic of seeing it for the first time.

Initially I saw it before the episode 7 hype train was in full effect, so my comparison was another movie with a sequel (don't kid yourself, Jurassic World is Jurassic Park 4 through and through) that came out a decade or more after the initial: Sin City.

In either case, you had this magic of "Holy shit, look at that!" be it dinosaurs or a comic book come to freaking life. But then time passes, Spielberg Spielbergs, and lifelike animatronics aren't that special anymore. 300 comes out, The Spirit comes out, and seeing exact scenes ripped from a graphic novel come to life isn't that special anymore. Sin City 2 and Jurassic World were very good movies, but the time for them to really wow audiences was long past. Sadly, I feel this will be Episode 7's fate.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

It's simply impossible for any movie to live up to this much hype.

No, no, no. Once a young man who wore a clock around his neck that was heavier than his brain said "Don't believe the hype".

Your own expectations guide your feelings towards a movie. Of course this is a sequel, but walk into the theater thinking the title is HOLY SHIT! SPACE BE CRAZY!

You don't have incredible sex with one person and when you move on think "no way this is going to be good as the last time".

Yes. There is way too much "remember this stuff?" in the trailer. Hopefully the film doesn't rely on that, as I will certainly walk out of the theater if it's a reference film. I doubt it will be. This HAS to stand on its own legs doing its own thing. Sure. Lightsaber and force stuff. That is a given. But I expect a character piece where the story needs not rely on nostalgia and rose glasses.

Wait and see guys and gals. Keep in mind that some people like Sonic 2 over the original. Apples and oranges, but things can get better.

Harrison Ford's career hasn't exactly been stellar the last 20 years. I don't know how good the new Star Wars will be, but I'd be surprised if it isn't better than Hollywood Homicide or Cowboys & Aliens or... I could go on for a while. Besides, I bet it's pretty fun to step back into an old role and work with the same people after all these years.

As for Blade Runner, I was skeptical about a sequel since the story seems so self-contained, but after seeing Sicario a couple weeks ago, I'm on board. Blade Runner 2 is scheduled to have the same director working with the same cinematographer, the great Roger Deakins, so whatever the story is like, it's going to look beautiful.

The original King Kong. Good but I felt as though the hype built it up too high.

MI movies are over-the-top and stunt-laden but the events that happen in them are almost daily occurrences around the world, stuff that we'll never know about, or your great grandchildren might get a whiff of if they're lucky. We know shit, essentially  The film itself is alright, it doesn't bore and events move quickly. Tom is getting a bit old for this action-y role however. The writing has become quite predictable as well, but that's what you get after watching countless Hollywood blockbusters

Space Sheriff Gavan: The Next Generation.

Awesome but I feel as though only diehard Space Sheriff fans would get the most enjoyment out of this film.
