I really enjoy Event Horizon, but I can't deny the P.W.S.A aftertaste. I still think it's a decent movie. It's easily the best movie that guy has ever made.

Haven't seen that movie in forever, but I remember loving it. Should check it out again.

Fanarchy, a documentary about fan films. Like it.

Also, Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Still a classic!

This is a real thing. Like, this actually happened. Somehow. Written and Directed by Anthony Michael hall, who evidently was so consumed with getting through his 3 page "how to direct" pamphlet he forgot how to act.

Who approved this script?
Who put up money for this?
Why did Sam Jackson agree to be on screen as a mailman for 3 seconds in this monstrosity?

Acting - F
Story - F
Directing - F
Editing - F-

The worst thing is that I can hardly find anything online about this film. Like how or why it was conceived of.

Fascinating. I must know more.

*Edit, got to RDJ's scene, the highlight of course. Evidently they just gave him a few lines of coke and told him to do whatever the hell he wanted, which delivers about what you'd expect from an unrestrained RDJ.

That's a great poster. Damn! Editing gets an F-, can't wait to see this. Judd Nelson is a genius.

So I got through the whole thing. Sam actually returns later in the film as a sewage worker or hole digger or something. Basically just one shot of Sam Jackson talking to himself angrily and there was a dog with a gun or something.

RDJ actually shows up one more time driving a car that was clearly shot in a completely different location than the actors that he's interacting with.

Hall apparently never heard of shooting coverage, so there's exposition scenes that are 3 or 4 minutes long that occur in a single shot which in any other film would have been reduced to 30 seconds.

There's a music video type montage halfway through where they raise money for their band or an eraser factory or something.

There are several scenes where Hall (Playing Julius Caesar) goes into impressions of famous movie characters for no real reason other than to show off his "acting chops" despite the fact that it conflicts with the stupidity of the character he's supposed to be.
