Picked up two Genesis games I've been meaning to get for a while now.

Do let me know how those two are. I've never really given them much thought before.

Gauntlet IV includes what's probably one of the best ports of the original arcade game. Honestly even to this day I think it's the definitive home port.

It's also got an "Adventure Mode" that gives you an actual quest to complete and adds some RPG elements to the usual Gauntlet gameplay. It's pretty cool if you like Gauntlet and the main attraction of Gauntlet IV.

Dragon's Fury or the original Japanese version Devil's Crush (Dragon's Fury was very slightly censored of "Satanic" imagery) is a really great video pinball game.

It's a port from the PCE and some things are improved, some things are a little worse. Both versions are generally fine. It's by far the best pinball game on the Genesis and my personal favorite of the "Crush" series pinball games from Compile/NAXAT. I can't recommend it enough for pinball lovers.

Gonna have to cut myself off for a while mountains of stuff is starting to accumulate again :P. Got a lot of stuff for my collection today.

Hit the big lots sales again. RE and RE4 were $10 and Hitman Absolution was around $6.50.

Afterwards I hit game stop and found a few things was an overall shity experience thanks to the clerk though :P. Guy got pissed off when I asked if I could keep the cases and manuals I picked out since he was trying to give me loose copies. He did it but he bitched the entire time that he would have to reprice all the loose cases all 4 of them which took about 3 seconds each he just had to input a number hit print and a new sticker popped out :P. He also went out of his way to find the shitiest complete copies he could find the behind the counter instead of just giving me the cases I had found on the floor. Probably going to see if I can switch out the disc for Ninety Nine Nights which is written all over and has scratches through the top layer and the case for Shell Shock which is cut up for some reason at another gamestop. Probably won't ever be going back to this one I've dealt with the clerk before and he's seemed okay but today he was the very definition of a douche.

Also hit two of my regular pawnshops. Xbox games were $2, PS3 game was one, and the GB gamers were $1.

Indeed DF is great, as is the PCE version. It's cheaper on the GEN though.

Cheaper enough to warrant getting the Gen version, or is the PCE version leaps and bounds better?

They're pretty close. The Genesis version actually has sharper graphics in places. The PCE has better music though the music on the Genesis isn't bad (it shouldn't be, it was ported by Technosoft). The Genesis version also has a status bar on the side which takes up some of the screen that the PCE version doesn't have which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether or not you want a status bar.

You can't go wrong with either really. I think the PCE game is on Virtual Console as well.

Since the resolution is different, you aren't really losing anything, just that it ends up being skinnier without redrawing stuff, so status bar got stuck in.
