What's crazy is that most games pre 1992 actually look really good. I have a new chassis in it and stuff from 92 onwards looks a little poopy. I haven't tried any 31k stuff on it yet.

We moved into new office space last week and they put in a dedicated game room. Right now it just has a 360 but the plan is to get an arcade machine or two. I've brought in my copy of Raiden Fighters Aces to play between lunch and stand up, and I'm going to be working on my 1ccs (or 1cc into Real Battle for Jet, as I did 1cc it at one of the earlier stop points).

Got R-Type to work on a handheld so I decided to revisist it. The level design is really good and the enemies rock, but I can't help but feel that instead of getting better I'm just learning the layouts.

I know it's R-Type, but still

More of a random shmup thought but Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours is getting an english release 11/30 for Vita and PS4, with Steam following a week later.

Cross-buy for the Sony versions is intriguing.

Currently playing Layer Section at home, and DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou at a nearby arcade. I'm thinking RayForce/Layer Section/Galactic Attack/GunLock might be the best shmup ever made. It and Darius Gaiden are tied for my number one favorite.

Kidpanda, how were you able to get those amazing looking egret cabs? I've been thinking about getting one for myself within the next few years.

With all the amazing games coming out this year, this has given me the biggest sense of hype. I cannot wait to get my hands on this.
