I like my character class, but the game doesnt seem very well balanced for it - I'm constantly running out of magic replenishing items, and then consequently out of money as I have to buy those, plus new spells. New spells costs anywhere from 100-600 for the basic ones I've seen so far, 10 monofluids is 1000 (and I normally need about 15-25 for a long mission), telepipes to get them add to that bill even more. Difluids and Trifluids are rare, and in order to raise my MST enough to learn new spells, they just get fed to my mag anyhow. It feels a little more like a money management sim than an online rpg at times

I spend every run in multiplayer robbing all the items so I can afford to keep up. If i dont cast the magics, I dont get no exp. Sorry if I keep nabbing all your stuff!
I see you use magic in a lot of situations where you don't really need too. Why don't you just use a melee on monsters that are right about to go down for the exp?
My melee generally doesnt hurt most monsters for more than a few points and is incredibly short range and slow. My defence is so low most monsters 2HKO me, so getting in their faces is suicide. My need for spells and fluids on my fast menu means that my attack commands are mapped to the 1 and 2 buttons, which is really inconvenient for fighting.

So I can spend 7 MP and do 75 damage from a distance, or spend ages walking up to an enemy, combo it 3 times for a total of 12 damage and take a hit and lose half my health. Plus, you guys are ALL rangers, meaning by the time I walked over to melee, it'd be dead anyway and I've missed out on the EXP XD

On the plus side, I use it much less to open crates than I used to now I know I can map attack to the number keys.

The second boss is brutal you definitely don't want to fight him alone. Most of his attacks do 70-90 damage and most of them are really hard to dodge so you are constantly needing to heal. With two of us attacking him non stop it took about 4-6 minutes to take him down.

Plus you are stuck on a moving platform in a underground river system so there isn't a ton of room to move around. It's a pretty crazy experience nothing like the Dragon.

:P think I was 14 when we fought him going solo you will probably want to at least be around 18-20. Unless the difficulty is curved for solo.

DC may be different?

I have 3 more cave quests to complete first, so I'll probably level up at least twice while completing those.

Casts are the master race.

Anyone playing at the moment or did I miss out?
Violent By Design wrote:I tried joining but it says quest in play.

I'm confused to why this happens sometimes. Other times I can join during a quest with out any beef.
Only the government quests can be joined while in progress (the numbered, main story line quests).

One hit from that dragon would have knocked cute little level 3 dish right on his ass!
