Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
I'm gonna make a quick guess yes, but all three of those are NTSC-J only for the Super Famicom, right?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Just got Legend of Heroes II, Dragon Knight 4, and Far East of Eden Zero in the mail. JRPG time!!!

Oh yeah..... and they were $1.50 each.
Far East of Eden Zero is a weird ass game. It does some sort of diagnostic test when you boot up, then you press Reset to start the actual game. You also input a date and time before playing (by default it's set to 1995).

None have been released here. None have fan translations.
The only games that would be playable without knowing any Japanese are the fighting game spin-offs.

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Thought I would list my SNES carts just to join in the fun. It was the console I grew up with so...
In no particular order:
Super Mario World
Super Mario Allstars
The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Turtles in Time
Super Castlevania IV
Star Trek Starfleet Academy
Double Dragon 5
Turtles: Tournament Fighters
Pacific Theatre of Operations II
Wings 2 Aces High
Star Fox
Wing Commander
Wing Commander The Secret Missions
Super Battleship (better than most people think)
Aladdin
Batman Returns
Home Improvement (not very good)
Basketball
Hockey
Football (American)
Super GameBoy
I think that's it (at work at the moment...). Somehow I managed to make it through the 16-bit era without playing any of the epic JRPGs of fame/infamy. I need to do something about that...
Edit: I also have SimCity and LOTR. Can't believe I forgot SimCity, it's one of my favorites!

Way to make me feel guilty about starting a SNES game review channelZeroAX wrote:I think the youtube review community plays a big part in the higher SNES prices, I know I can't prove it, but I've seen it happen with me personaly.
I do think that the YouTube community plays a part in it, but the fact is the SNES has 10-15 of some of the best games ever made, in addition to like 45-50 high quality games and cult favorites. The cream always rises to the top.

aaaw don't feel bad mate. I promise I won't try to buy any of the games you recommend
ok yeah I agree. The SNES was the epitome of 2D gaming.
EDIT
wow, I checked your "hello video". Really nice dude. I mean it's just an introductory video, but you've put effort in it and your show sounds like it will be interesting.
I subscribed
(yes I'm having a great start at not buying the stuff you recommend

That game is Incantation which came out in late 1996. It's not that good, it's just an average at best platformer, I really like the art style though.
