I listen to slaughterhouse. He's in slaughterhouse, but the rest are all better than him.noiseredux wrote:Who listens to Joell Ortiz?
If you dont listen to slaughterhouse, start listening. They are great.

Yeah I liked the first slaughterhouse album a lot. But I wouldn't seek ortiz out on his own.
That track "the one"... Who would think a lenny kravitz sample would be awesome?

Billy Woods released a couple of my favourite records of the last two years. Last year's History Will Absolve Me:
And this year's Dour Candy:

Billy Woods? Wow. THAT'S underground. Dood was in The Reavers with a bunch of Monsta Island Czars affiliates years ago.DocHauser wrote:Billy Woods released a couple of my favourite records of the last two years. Last year's History Will Absolve Me:

R.I.P. Kendrick Lamar.
Kidding, but seriously he is getting destroyed, and this is something rap really needed. THANK YOU KENDRICK. Back to the disses:
Papoose tore him a new one. If you haven't heard it, listen, it's crazy (and hilarious).
And if you're underestimating Joell Ortiz. He's under the radar, but if you listen to his response it's top notch:
King Los' isn't bad, but in the end he starts kissing others rapper asses
I will post when more good ones come out. The links for the cassidy and lupe responses are a couple pages back.

Yeah, he seems to be doing better than most of those other guys are these days.noiseredux wrote:Billy Woods? Wow. THAT'S underground. Billy Woods was in another group called Super Chron Flight Brothers - they put out some decent records too a few years back.

I've lost track over the last few years, but yeah it's too bad. A lot of those guys had some good stuff. And for a while I thought they'd be a "new" MIC album with the newer group of active members. I think the last related thing I can think of was Meccagodzilla's AMERICAN MONSTA mixtape (which was Jay's AMERICAN GANGSTER remixed).DocHauser wrote: Yeah, he seems to be doing better than most of those other guys are these days.![]()
