Switching to DC version again. The PlayStation d-pad messes me up.. I think. We'll see if I do any better on DC. Will start with controller and then use my arcade stick if I feel the need. I really need a Saturn pad for PS2 or to finally get a stick.

Yeah, even though I grew up in arcades, I can't play shooters that well with a stick.
Even with 360 shoot-em-ups, I use the shitty 360 D-pad most of the time.
With this game, I'm using a PS2 Saturn pad.

I'll dig my HORI PS2 stick out of the garage and give this game a try tonight with that, but I don't have much confidence.

Finally beat that damn spider thing in 4-1, now to figure out the 4-2 boss, she's kinda ridiculous - honestly I doubt I'll pass her. Oh, and 1st place

Chempop, it was a big help. Playing this game in tate is a huge difference for me. Which explains the boost in score perhaps. That, and finally feeling comfortable with Kim's Shikigami Attack. I'm still getting beat up RIGHT BEFORE the dice boss in 3-1, but with enough practice I know I can nail it.

EDIT: and congrats on 1st place. That's awesome, haha.

Man, I suck at this game reeeal hard. Made it to the end of 3-2 with Kim. But I didn't have any extra lives or bombs since the maze in 3-1. Got to the last form of the 3-2 boss only to die... D:

For some reason I am just awful on the 2-2 boss' 3rd attack pattern. I'm sure it's easy, but I just haven't taken to time to figure it out.

it's not easy. That pattern sucks and I usually end up bombing him at the end. :\

Man I wish I had a stick for the Dreamcast. I'm suffering with the D-pad. I guess it all comes down to what you're used to. How much do those agetec sticks go for these days?

Yea. We just need to figure out the pattern or have someone explain it. One we know it I'm sure we mostly stay in the same spot and move a little left or right at certain times.

Just finished up my last run of the night. I wasted at least 3 bombs and a life on the damn 2-2 boss pattern.. But I made it. And after that stage 3 is mostly easy. Or would have been with Kim. With Kotaro I should have paid more attention to where the laser beam guys are... Woops. And there went my last life.

S1mples price was nice though - $50 is more the norm for decent condition. I haven't seen any floating about lately.

@jep - do you have adecent PS2 stick? I think I have a spare PS2>DC converter - I can look, lmk.
