I've took a bit of a break after finishing the Bandit's Camp, but just because the month may be over for this game, doesn't mean I'm done with it yet. It has completely changed my perspective on Western RPGs, and I had a heck of a good time with it. I am hoping that I'll continue to update my progress here!

I'm right about where you are. I followed the plot until I got to the bandit camp, got my ass kicked, and then left to spend a lot of time leveling up. Came back and wiped the floor with those bandits. Just started Cloakwood.

My GF asked me a couple days ago, "How long is that game, because it seems like you've been playing it forever."

So, after giving up on exploring the rest of the city (Baldur's Gate is effing huge!), I decided to focus on the story and I think I'm in the final stretch:
Back to Candlekeep I am! And thank god I had the book the gatekeeper wanted, I have no idea what it was but I was in no mood to go back to get it

This may no longer be the month's Together Retro, but I feel like I have to report that I finally completed the Tales of the Sword Coast. The side-quests it adds are pretty dang tough, but their rewards are great. Durlag's Tower definitely feels like an oldschool D&D module.

I just wish I could have used my main party to have gotten all the XP/weapons. OH WELL.

That's quite all right. More TR threads need to spill out into other months. Plus, just the size of this game. I had a great time with it, and I still need to get back to it.
