[quote="Mod_Man_Extreme"]1991 Honda Civic DX Hatchback.
Exhaust: Loud, LOUD,
L.O.U.D. Straight pipe sucks, and I don't care what anyone says. It's loud, rude, obnoxious and grates on my damn nerves. Plus it basically vibrates the damn car to pieces and screws with everything. The last owner saw it fit to cut out the cat too, so there isn't even the smallest reprieve for the soul sucking rice-ness of this cars freaking awful exhaust.
Far and away this is my biggest gripe with the car, bar none, and I'm putting a muffler on the second I have some damn cash.
Hey, i think my straight pipes on my big block sound pretty good. Well i think they would sound good if i could hear after driving it for two years.

My caprice is loud but not too crazy. It's still all stock. It's just damn near impossible to get that classic sound of a car out of a fuel injected car.

Mod Man,
I know you didn't do it, but who the hell straight pipes a Honda Civic? Some kind of muscle car or something, sure. But a rice rocket or a van? Seriously?
(I personally like loud cars, but not in that case. Going to cut out the cats on mine and throw on some purple hornies.)

Now I don't have anything against straight pipe per-se. After all, well tuned V6/V8 sounds phenomenal in the right hands. But a vintage, raspy, high-revving little 4-banger with issues and exhaust leaks a plenty, not so much.

Haha, makes me think of this ad from a few years ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhFDRr_R_XII love it when a company can poke fun at itself......even if all it's products in the last 5 years or so have been soulless.

Hahahaha, that weird Nissan mascot guy was awesome. Definitely makes me reminisce about the 300zx ads:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI2L82eUoJUThis one was always on during saturday morning cartoons, and I vow to own a Twin Turbo one of these one day.
Sigh.....when compared to the modern Z-Cars, how the mighty have fallen....

My close friend had a white 1987 300, T-tops, talking computer lady and all. That thing could haul ass, but not the best car when you go on road trips with more than two people.
There is a Black convertible 2008 Corvette with 30k on it that I am seriously tempted to buy. I know I won't buy it, but it's one of those deals that is extremely difficult to pass up on and I'll end up saying "I should have" a million times in the future.

Bitchin Betty and the 80's Zs have nothing on the Z32s.
Lets just say I'm thankful to live in a family that has one Twin Turbo and another track-ready NA 2+2.

One day I hope to own an FD RX-7. Hopefully there will be a day I can have one.
I put in my CAI yesterday. In an MX-5 there's pretty much no power to be tapped so it's completely cosmetic and for sound only. That said, it wails and it sounds so fantastic. Induction noise > exhaust noise.
