Is this a style over functionality issue, or a bit of both?

You seem to enjoy tinkering, so I would agree with TSTR and recase, if only for the fun of it.

I keep going back and forth on what to do, I still can't make up my mind. :x

I'm kinda leaning toward keeping the MXR case though, because I had an idea. I think it looks stupid with the big ass stock rate knob and then a small knob squeezed in next to it. But I was thinking, what if I added two small knobs (one for rate, one for wet level) on either side, then used the hole from the original rate knob for the toggle switch. It would look much better aesthetically.

It would kinda look like the Phase 99...

That was my concern with the little stupid knob. I like your new idea.

Awesome, thanks. I think I've made up my mind, that's what I'm gonna do. I'll post pics when I get it done.

I got an old(er) Yamaha keyboard. Out of production for awhile.

Can't find a compatible stand. Any ideas? Maybe I could just get something flat to lay it on.

Why wont a generic keyboard scissor stand work?

That's a thing?

This is my first keyboard. Go easy on me.

I assume my local music shop sells these?

If they have keyboards, they should have stands. Do you have a local Guitar Center? That would be the safer bet. Or, online...

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... oard+stand

Just keep in mind with the scissor stands, adjusting the height also changes how "long" the stand is under the keyboard, which can some times be a pain in the ass. You can get different style stands (check the links) but they're usually more money.

Keyboard stands are usually non specific to any particular keyboard (although there are matching stands for specific models). My first keyboard didn't have a "matching" stand, it would rock a little if you were pounding away, but it got the job done.

So what model keyboard did you get?

I have:

Thanks for the info. No idea why I began by looking at specific stands vs. generic ones. I'm just detail-oriented I guess.

No Guitar Center here, but there is an independent place that I visit now and again for bass guitar stuff. I'm sure I'll have luck there.

So my guitar amp is kinda really awesome for bass distortion. REALLY thick and fuzzy and tasty :).

I know it's bad for the speakers though (especially if you play loud) so I'm thinking of either finding a bass cab or just using the line out into a PA or something.
