Yes, it is out. I'm sure most of us are out of fun-money at the moment what with Christmas time just ending and all.

Not to mention the price is outrageous to import it. It makes much more sense to just wait a while.

I imported the Japanese 3DS on launch but I currently have no plans to buy a Vita. I am gonna wait at least a few years so I can make a better decision about it. If it turns out there are some good games on physical media that don't have too much DLC, I may look into buying it used. That's what I did with the PSP and it worked out pretty well.

The battery cannot be replaced so once it dies, the Vita stops being portable. That's a huge fucking letdown. $120 for a 32GB memory card is a massive fucking ripoff also. However, having good controls and games on cartridge is very nice.

I may be able to tolerate some of the negative aspects of the Vita if I can get it used for very cheap in the future. It may be 5 or 10 years later; I don't really mind.

So, has anyone else started getting excited for this? I've been paying off my first edition bundle pre-order for a bit now and am starting to get really pumped.

The launch lineup looks good, the prognosis of upcoming games looks good and Wipeout alone is going to eat months and months of my time.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

Yeah, I'm waiting at the very least a price drop; when it is cheaper than a 3ds, I'll buy one. If only for Resistance, Killzone, and Motorstorm :)

Hahaha, work, work work and a bad hard drive failure a month back.

Thankfully another person is excited about the Vita; everyone I know here has a 3DS right now and can't seem to get their head out of the sand to just enjoy both.
