Run and jump, man.
The grabbing distance in that game is extremely generous, you'd be surprised what you can latch on to. Of course, later in the game that leads to some painful leaps of faith that will get you killed in frustration.

Argh, but that's exactly what I do!

Fine, I guess I'll give it another shot.

It's a shame you have to beat CV64: Legacy of Darkness before you can unlock him, but Henry's quest is awesome, in my opinion! I loved wandering around the game with a gun and a sword rescuing lost children. It took the game into a different direction and added something completely new.

(For those that don't know, Henry was supposed to be a playable character in the first release of Castlevania (64). At the last minute, they cut both him and Cornell. About a year later, they decided to release a version of the game that contained all of the scrapped ideas for the original into one cart, including the cut characters and added new missions, music, and stages for them to delve into. Thus, Legacy of Darkness was born.)

You really do. You sound like a real fan of CV64, and that's essentially who Legacy was made for

Now I'm remembering.... I played through CV64 way back when and kinda enjoyed it. But now I remember, I picked up Legacy a few years back and played an hour or two's worth and gave up with it. I gotta try and play through it again one of these days, but I guess I can say that with a lot of games.

I might have enjoyed CV64 a little more because it was a good score. K-Mart was clearing out their N64 stock, I guess, so I got it new for $5.

And on that note, I remember my lucky score when I bought Bloodlines. I was in a Toys R Us and they had some random Genesis and Saturn games lying on a shelf collecting dust. I think Bloodlines was $10.
