it sucks that dio was a way better frontman but got way less recognition than ozzy.

Recently I've mostly listened to nu-metal and metalcore types of bands, since I've become fed up with thrash, power, traditional etc. Agalloch is probably my favorite metal band.

Agalloch is fucking awesome! I can't wait until they put out another album

Anyway, going back to my previous post raving about new fave band Eluveitie, this is another song I love and they have two awesome versions of it! One is definitely more metal while the other is more folk, but they are both awesome

My taste has changed quite a bit and cut my hair few years back, but folk metal is nice to listen to. Most come from whereabouts I live, I recommend everyone to check out Finntroll for one.

I've been a fan of Nightwish for a very long time. They kind of kick started my interest in female fronted metal bands much like In Flames got me interested in melodic death metal

Ghost Love Score is probably their most epic track. Funny thing though, they fired their lead singer after that album, which was a shame. They are still a great band, but she gave them more of a unique sound

You might want to check out Tarja's solo work too if you like Nightwish. Here are a few of my faves from her

I kinda like Nightwish. I have one of their CD's, I just find them a little bit ro odd sometimes, I'm not sure. I have heard the new singer though, I think she is actually better.

I can't get past her voice. It just doesn't sound right, can't put my finger on why. But since we're on the subject of chick metal bands, have you guys heard of In This Moment? They're one I'm really liking, and the lead singer is a hottie which is a bonus.

Until My Last Breath is absolutely incredible, those riffs!

Also, Lacuna Coil is another metal band with a female singer and it's also quite awesome.
