Re: NBA 2K12 and NBA Jam On Fire Edition - Online Meet-Up

I've decided to keep on going through the road trip piece so I can accumulate enough Jam dollars to buy every player available. I don't know how guys get enough J to buy the specialty teams though (25,000 for NBA street team?).

I'm guessing they just ponied up the $4.99 to have everything unlocked (1/3 of the cost of the game!). It's certainly very tempting but I am always drawn to the quest of unlocking items/characters/teams in sports games. I paid the 80 points (pretty cheap) on Xbox 360 to unlock everything in Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 and barely played the title afterwards (except for a couple matches with Terry Funk).

My new Jam squad is Chris Paul + Alonzo Mourning :)

Still haven't played 2k12

that was a pretty tough squad to beat against my Bird and Garnett. Good combination of outside/inside combo. intense game last night. :)

...and i still haven't bought 2K12. planning to get it next month though..

I won a couple "high profile" (my words) online games last night against random guys. One guy was a level 35 (and had some gold thing in his tag) that used the Ninja team. That was a good win.

I played a level 42 guy (again with some medal) that was the Block Party team - I barely lost, trying to navigate through Robinson and Hakeem was rough. I don't get the allure of playing with those custom teams though. It's good practice though because when you do get to play a regular NBA team, I find myself considerably better.

Random road trip musings:

I like when the CPU randomizes the team it uses and you get to face Yi and Blatche for the Wizards - you know, over guys like John Wall and JaVale McGee.

I "lucked" out with the Heat also - Bibby and Bosh? Pff, I beat them 79-19 with the Hornets squad. They created Bosh perfectly in the game. He played like a complete pussy and didn't block any dunks of mine. I alley-ooped them to death.
