New Members: Introduce Yourself!

Well I've become obsessed with this site now. I regualarly visit it at work and I believe I have read a majority of the articles. So I should probably introduce myself. My name is Kagi (my real first name too pronounced like the letters K and G). I'm a heavy Sega fanboy I guess but I like any game as long as its fun. I'm not a collecter per se but I have a decent amount of systems and games. I'm not real into the mod scene but after finding this site I'm gonna start (just hope my wallet can handle my failed attemps). Some of my favorite games are: Sonic 2, Phantasy Star IV, PSOnline, Jet Grind Radio (JSRF too), Gunvalkyrie, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Gungrave, Ico, Shadow of the COlossus, Metal Gear Series, Soul (blade) Calibur series, Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Skies of Arcadia, Ikaruga, Burning Rangers, and Okami. Music takes up anytime that I'm not playing video games (or working) and I am in a band. I play bass guitar. Guess thats all I can think of to say.

Hi guys,

I will introduce myself since I've posted a couple of times now.

First, I really like the site! I've been looking for something like this for awhile now. Great articles.

I'm a gamer since about 5 years old when I went over to the neighbours house and they had bought a atari 2600. Shortly after, my older brother got a Coleco for his birthday. The next year I got the Deluxe (yep, the one with R.O.B) NES pack for Christmas. Since then, I've owned basically everything out there - I bought Vectrex, Lynx, Gameboy, TG-16, Genesis, SNES, Playstation, PS2, Dreamcast, 3DO, - most of them on their release day. And most of this time I've been a PC Gamer as well, starting with a 286-16mhz with 1mb ram and a 40mb HDD.

Just to give you a sense of my tastes, out of all these systems my favorite games are probably:
Deus Ex (absolute no. 1)
Planescape: Torment
Twisted Metal 2
Metroid: Prime
Duke Nukem 3D
Xenogears
Ico
Zelda OOT
Final Fantasy 7
Knights of the Old Republic

As you can see, most games are 95'+ - so I'm not one of those thats extremely nostalgic for my old NES/Genny days! Some of those games were great, but the vast majority have a hard time competing with the best modern stuff. For example, I loved Final Fantasy 1 and Phantasy Star 2 and back in the day - but these days I just can't imagine sitting in front of the TV grinding to buy a better Laser Sword...

Not sure what you mean about the email... I email a lot people throughout the day, so I couldn't give you a solid answer

Ha ha, Yeah I work at a pretty cool place. Also I am able to do things there that other workers can't because of my position.
