Saw you guys talk about Typw-0's fan translation earlier...

Square announced it's being ported to PS4/XB1 and will be localized. So that's pretty sweet I must say.

Well, that's cool... I hope it's getting some graphical upgrades to make up for such a big leap in technological platform change. Too bad it's not getting a Vita release though! I think that would have made sense considering it's a PSP game to start with.

I assume their logic is to focus on the two new platforms for the biggest exposure. God only knows when we'll be able to get our hands on it though.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (July 29, 2014)
AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed (August 5, 2014)
Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited (August 12, 2014)
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (September 2, 2014)
SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS (September 30, 2014)
Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! (September 30, 2014)
Bullet Girls
Fairy Fencer F
Persona 4: Dancing All Night
Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist Of Dusk Plus
I'm not gonna complain about JRPGs (my favorite genre) being localized, but I feel like the market is just getting flooded with these NIS / Compile Heart / Gust / Idea Factory fan service-y & otaku bait games.

I used to automatically purchase anything released by these developers / publishers (Atlus too) but now I feel like I have to be a little more selective. There's just too much and I'm getting a bit of a "quantity over quality" impression.

What I really want to see on Vita is new games by Square Enix, Level 5, Tri-Ace, Falcom... And a localized Phantasy Star Nova (I've given up on PSO2).

Yeah I wort of feel the same way. I'm interested in many of them but I think it's more because the higher quality stuff that used to be prevalent from the bigger companies is really drying up leaving me to take what I can get.

I mean who's even left now?
Square barely manages to squeeze RPGs out now.
Capcom and Konami are outta the game completely.
ATLUS is still going strong.
Level-5 is mostly good.
Nintendo has a few.
Sony has a little as well.
Falcom is a new favorite of mine but there's just so many of their games I'll miss out on due to the language barrier.

I've actually never played an NIS game but I hear Disgaea is good. Idea Factory and Compile Heart stuff I read bad things about all the time but Neptunia seems like it might be cool...maybe?

I won't deny the quality isn't always what it could be, lately. But even a middling JRPG/Visual Novel/Dungeon Crawler I find more interesting than generic AAA third person shooter of the week. So I'm buying them while they are still even being made.
What I really want to see on Vita is new games by Square Enix, Level 5, Tri-Ace, Falcom
I've read things that lead me to believe Falcom will release at least one more new Ys game on the Vita before things are done. SQEX gives no shits about the Vita, Level 5 seems to only care about 3DS, Tri-Ace is more into consoles I'm afraid.

Dragon's Dogma? Though that may just fall more under WRPG...but at that point, so would a lot of the offline MMO style ones (like Xenoblade) wouldn't they?

Also Deep Down, but again, probably not exactly the JRPG formula, even if it's probably still in the overall RPG genre.

Dragon's Dogma is a WRPG for me because of the visual style and gameplay. Xenoblade is definitely a JRPG because of it's anime inspired storylines.

Tri-Ace is the developer of Phantasy Star Nova I thought?
