I won't even look at a listing with stock photos. Too much risk.

I did some wheeling and dealing around town and sold of some systems I have doubles and then some of. It was late in the day which usually means automatic bust at the thrifts but it was on the way home. Not too bad today. Used some of my extra cash to picked up The Legend of Dragoon (no manual) & Final Fantasy VII (w/manual; Greatest hits) for PS1 and Manhunt 2 & Family Guy for PS2 for $2.99 each (both w/manuals). All the discs are in surprisingly great shape (and present!). I have always sold off any copies of FF VII that I've come across because there's always someone I know who wants it way more than I do. I'm going to keep this one & finally give this a serious play. I haven't bothered with it since I rented it shortly after it was released.

This past Friday I picked up Sonic Mega Collection and Spyro something or other for $2.99 each and a copy of SF IV for the 3DS for $4 (no manual). I've just got to find a 3DS now.

It's actually gotten quite a bit cheaper online over the years.

The game was never "rare," but I'd imagine that re-releases on PSN and Steam and whatnot have contributed to decreased demand.

Goodwill:

Star Wars Battlefront II (PSP): $2.50
Sonic Rivals (PSP): $2.50
Namco Museum Battle Collection (PSP): $2.50

In the Namco case was ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails, which is fine for me. Looks like a fun racing game!

Half.com:

From my favorite seller--

Donkey Konga (Game only) Gamcube: $1.89
Gekido: Urban Fighters PS1: $3.69
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego SMS: $.75

All complete :) Those prices are before shipping.

Went up to my local savers today and found a lonely original ps2 with cables but the controller(3rd party) was separate and separately priced(this savers does this). Was pretty filthy from looking in the vents but for $12 why not. Cleaned it all up and works perfect. As soon as I hit the eject button a copy of Star Wars Battlefront II emerged. :D

True, FAR from a rare or uncommon game and the value has rightfully dropped significantly. The GH version is somewhere around $17 in good shape. There are still morons trying to sell copies for well over $40 and it's always funny to see how many copies on eBay include the word "rare" in the headline. I really hate how misused "rare, CIB, NIB, unopened, new, never used" etc. are on eBay but that's for another thread.

Anyway, stopped at Savers after work and found a Gamecube that's has seen some better days. It was $5.99 so I can't walk away from that. Bonus- Had a copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee inside. System and game work fine. The reset button is stuck and the eject button is sticky so I'm going to have to open it up and do some scrubbing, which is no big deal but I hope I don't find a nasty insect infestation. I hate that.

nice work on the SSBM find. that's $35-40 right there.

once i was opening up a saturn 3D pad to give it a thorough cleaning and probably 100-150 tiny little roach like things spilled out onto my hand. i usually don't get freaked out by that, but i screeched like an elephant seeing a mouse. terrifying.

Went to savers. Havent been in a while. They had sonic complete for the genesis and star wars and empire strikes back for the snes. Right there my urges started to come to and I started to look for a snes online. Decided to put the games away and walked out. I told myself I don't need it and i have a system called the dreamcast to collect for. Got home and played last blade2.

I'd like to congratulate you on having good impulse control. Way to go, mas. I have the bad habit of buying too many video games. One of my new years resolutions is to quit buying video games until I have played every game in my backlog.

This guy I dealt with is actually a great seller. Not only did he refund the game and my original shipping, but he also gave me 3.50 to mail the game back to him. I got my refund this morning. I'm definitely leaving him good feedback.

I really wanted the game though and didn't want to shell out for a new copy and also convinced myself that I don't need a manual. So, I bought a loose cart in great shape (actually saw the picture) and a loose case in great shape. If I stumble across the manual down the road I may spring for it, but I just really care about the game and case. All in all, I got the two for less than $30, so I'm not complaining.

I've actually been buying from half.com for about 10 years and this is the first time I've had this issue. Lesson learned though.
