Part of the problem is that he really does look like a Power Rangers villain.
I totally missed out on the Power Rangers, but I've seen the comparison.

My issue is that "Poc" needs to look formidable with a dash of scary. Would this dude intimidate you? He looks like a grandpa with bad makeup. Does he have "growing powers"? I hope so as he sports a pout and looks weak.

But, besides X2, I think the X-Men movie franchise is terrible. Plus I think X2 only has a good ten minutes in it (the opening sequence and Logan going berserk).

I want this guy:

:P : Mom wanted to catch a movie while I was visiting so we went and saw Pixels since I had pretty much seen everything else worth while. Even with my low expectations it was quite a turd. The action sequences were nice, but felt really brief and the trailer basically managed to spoil all the good parts. The writing, acting, and comedy were god awful even for an Adam Sandler movie.

This movie had a lot of potential with all the licenses they secured, the originality of the concept, the huge budget, and a lot of actors who were more then capable of giving a great performance. However everything just felt half assed and/or really forced.

A Man Named Pearl
Really a neat documentary about one mans passion in not only his garden, but leaving a positive on others. The amazing garden is just the surface, the real tale is how much Pearl has donated back to his community, encouraging others to aspire thru hard work and dedication to achieve their best.

I agree completely. I do not enjoy any of the X-Men movies at all. I find that the franchise really benefits in being a tv show. Their plot lines really benefit from unfolding over longer spans of time than 2 hours. There is such a huge cast of characters and interweaving arcs that there needs to be those half-hour/hour chunks of time that help even the pacing out.

Too much going on in the x-men movies with too many characters and poor characterization.

Also, Wolverine can suck it. He is worse than superman.

X-men game sidenote, when I was a kid, there were tons of arcades that had the widescreen giant cabinet of the x-men arcade game. There would be lines out the door to play it and people would wait forever to play... as Wolverine. As a kid, I didn't care so I always picked the Dazzler. No matter how long the lines were for all the different characters, not a single person wanted to play as her. Screw it, I got to play the game regardless.

As for the last movie I have seen, I just re-watched the Wing Commander movie on Netflix. I thought it was horrible then and only as an adult can I truly appreciate just how bad this movie is. The entire budget was spent on Freddie Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard.

You have an eastern european playing a scottish Paladin, you have enormous unmoving cat mannequins for Kilrathi and you have CGI that has huge drops in framerate. Everything about the film is bad from the script, to the acting, to the set design, to even the sound effects. They tried to capture World War I dogfights and it simply stinks! Grating engine sounds, obnoxious weapon effects and lasers that sound like a 1980's chaingun video game sound effect.

I can't even begin to go into the weird, "Pilgrim," plot where there is an evolved race of humans who explore space and have a genetic understanding of the universe and all its anomalies. Everyone yells and screams at Freddie for being a half-breed and all that jazz and he has some cross with a knife in it and it gives him the supernatural power to have space navigational abilities that surpass a super-computer. Garbage!

I liked first class too.

It benefited from having very little Wolverine.

I just saw High Fidelity and it was like seeing the people I know on film. I think anyone will feel the same because it's not a movie about music, it's a movie about geeks. Really recommended.

Josh Trank is already apologizing for the Fantastic Four. He also pointing fingers and blaming almost everyone but himself for not realizing his vision. Ladies and Gentlemen, we may have a Fantastic Four movie that is somehow worse than the last one.

HALF BAKED

At a point in time I thought this movie was hilarious. The film was actually a reason for my college buddies to come over and watch, over and over. We had to watch it over and over because we kept forgetting what happened in the past five minutes.

Doesn't hold up so well while being in a sober state.

Some bits still provide a good laugh. Nibbles' back story is great, Scarface quitting is funny, and "I'm a big dike" followed by "Whoa. What's that like?" gives at least a grin. Plus "Fully".

What's weird is that it;s a stoner comedy, but the jokes focused on weed fall flat. Smoking weed out of Billy Bong Thorton is not funny (plus, it's a hookah). Dave Chapelle asking a scientist to "mop that shit up" is. It's almost as if all the funny stuff was improvised.

Like I mentioned it has it's moments, but not as many as I remember. Also noticed that the actress playing Mary Jane seems a bit repulsed by Dave. Next time I watch the film, I want to see if the even ever kiss. I don't think they do, do they?

Edit* Oh dear, now I see why Josh is apologizing. Fantastic Four is at a 9% at Rotten Tomatoes, half of what the terrible PIXELS received. Not sure what half of terrible is (figuratively) but zoinks. I expected it to be pretty bad, but not 9% bad. I will have to go see this for myself as I've watched some okay superhero movies this year, but not a complete clunker.
