Seriously. Golden Axe has awkward stiff controls and Comix Zone just isn't very good. Streets of Rage FTW.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I used to think that I didn't like Beat 'Em Ups. Then I played Streets of Rage.

Try ninja turtles 2-4 some of the greatest beat em ups of all time. And hyperstone heist is a hidden gem on the Genesis, that game is so underrated.

OK. I am glad that I am not the only one. I could never really get into Comix Zone either (and it certainly was not for lack fo trying...).
I have a soft spot for Golden Axe (especially the music and early '80s fantasy film aesthetic), but Streets of Rage is the superior game (with its great gameplay, even better music, and late '80s martial arts movie aesthetic).

I like the first one but when you try a bit of the second you just can't go back!

What's a decent price for CIB Atari 2600 games? Flea Market guy has had them marked at $12, sitting for weeks and collecting dust. I may just break down and snag Golf next time I'm there.

If they have been sitting for weeks I bet you could haggle down to just take them off his hands for next to nothing, make a cheeky offer on the whole lot. You would be surprised what people agree to at flea markets.

That's why you play Golden Axe II instead. Much better

I haven't paid over $10 for any of mine (w/ the exception of a sealed Pitfall!; which I only paid like $15 or 16 for).
