These few surprised reactions are pretty much everything I need. Thanks guys! I am shifting my perception of reality accordingly.

I am not very pukey at all. I puke when I am truly sick and that's it. I know others are not like this. Like my cats...

I seriously think I've puked maybe 15 times in my life. My longest streak without puking was like 10 years.

My wife pukes as least a few times a month. She's really sensitive to "gross" things. (Like the remainder of this post).

The other day my daughter took an especially nasty poop. My wife saw it and BARF. Now Iris only lets me handle the poop. Well, not handle it literally. You know what I mean.

I enjoy puking. You feel so much better afterwards. Drink Vernors Ginger Ale and it tastes like nothing and doesn't feel acidic at all. Learned that when I had Mono for 6 months as a teenager.

The other night I was reading an article that made me turn to my husband and say, "What I don't get is that this author is writing as if everyone hasn't had the experience of being so disturbed by something that they puked." He kinda blinked at me, and I said, "Wait, that's normal, isn't it? Haven't you been so disturbed by something that it made you puke?"

Well, apparently not!

So now I'm asking you guys. Is this not a normal piece of everyone's life? To be made dramatically ill by something that bothered you deeply? I understand that I have some kind of heightened sensitivity going on personally, but I seriously thought this was something everyone went through at least once.

Nooooooooo. I think most people just feel a slight uneasy feeling and disdain.
Maybe your body trained your stomach that uneasiness means insta-vomit-comet.

Spoiler, cause gross.
I haven't vomited in 17 years. I think I've only vomited four times ever.

Minus baby stuff I don't remember. <~ preemptive comment to combat smart-asses.

Like marurun, I only puke when I'm really sick.

Its painful and often drawn out over hours (I envy people who turn their heads, hork in 3 seconds, and then feel perfectly fine) but its also pretty uncommon.

Never vomited by looking at something. Nor the smell of vomit. Pretty much only when I get sick.

Sounds like me and my dad...we both have weak stomachs and can't handle things like that or dead animals(namely rats so that's a chore more than it should be if the traps anywhere catch one), super bad smells(namely why I do not help with the trash compactor at my work if i can help it), and the sight of anyone else getting sick(even the sound is enough to set us off)

Though to be honest I haven't puked in at least a year or two and i hope to keep it that way...

I puke when I get stressed out - so a few times a month. Probably not healthy.
