Funny you mention Clueless. We watched that last week for the first time in many years. It has held up well, I might have even liked it better this time around.

I thought Luke was a museum curator.

Or a serial killer.

Sounds like the setup for a movie.

Transformers Age of Extinction aka a pile of shit  .

It was on netflix and I thought what the hell why not watch it. Nearly 3 hours later I can thoroughly confirm it is craptastic even by Michael Bay standards.

Luke wrote: And Ack. I am actually a professional comedian. I get paid to write jokes for movies you have seen (I assume you've seen animated movies in the past five years). I also get paid for performances, speeches, and punching up jokes. I'm very laissez faire when it comes to internet action and reactions, because I'm not trying to make anyone laugh. I drop hints a lot. A LOT. Rarely do people pick up on them, and that leaves no dirt on my shoulder. But when I do drop a "joke" here, it's an inside reference that's pretty obscure and allusive and suggestive. Half the time my "jokes" aren't even "jokes".

JP1 mentioned some good news and I replied with "Hat's off to ya!". He got it. I did mean the phrase as a compliment, but I've also told him previously to take his hat off. Yeah, that's some serious set up and a long time before the pay off, but I get the giggles when someone realizes that I'm making a joke inside a joke.
Now this; is absolutely comedy gold.

You are good.
None of you have any idea how many jokes exist amongst those 9 words I just posted. Seriously - you can't fathom. Layers of jokes, on euphemism, on puns, on inside jokes, on outside jokes, on crackers. and if you don't get it. Well, then you don't get it. You probably didn't even get that one? Why do I bother.

Jurassic World was a nice surprise. It can't hold a candle to the original and it lacks that Crichton/science feel, but I'd have never have guessed anytime in the past ~20 years that the 4th JP movie could have been any good (and likely the 2nd best by a good margin).

Yeah, I saw it last Sunday, and while it's by no stretch of the imagination a good movie, it was definitely the sequel that reminded me the most of the first one. Then again, it seemed to be trying really really hard to reference it at every turn.

I did probably laugh a lot more than they intended though.
