What RPG are you playing right now?
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Legend of Grimrock and Xenoblade Chronicles!
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Grimrock is keeping me busy, and making me crave more Arx Fatalis. It's a pretty tough, almost trial-and-error sort of game but it's hitting all my compulsive buttons.

Tell me more about Arx Fatalis. It looks amazing.
Need to get back to Thief 2 though. I have a knack of never really beating sequels back to back (started it up right after Thief 1), so I guess I got busier with other stuff. I got to the bank level though and can tell that one will be amazing. Not sure how they'll measure up for me. Love all the improvements with 2 and the maps are completely amazing, but like I've heard the first game just had so many weird bizarre elements to it... it was so fucking weird in an awesome way. Thief 2 still seems super weird though with the robots and experiments, messed up stuff.

I remember enjoying Arx Fatalis a lot on the original Xbox, but I can't remember much about it!

I'm going to toss some more love in for Legend of Grimrock. The game is so good. It's creepy, challenging, moody, tense. Love it.
I'm still working on The Witcher 2 and Stonekeep as well. It's confusing to go between Stonekeep and Legend of Grimrock though because they are so similar.

I recently got my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles but unfortunately I cannot play it too much... Im saving it for the Summer when I will have a ton of free time.

I may do the same. Doesn't look like it's the type of game to play in 1-hour spurts, which is how I play most of my games during the school year.

That's what I'm planning on too. I don't have the time an RPG demands during the school year, so I'm waiting for summer. Summer is when I usually play my RPGs. It's nice having the luxury to complete a 36-hour game in four days if I so choose (did that with KOTOR one time).

By the way, you can get Arx Fatalis for PC, for $5.99 at Good Old Games (www.gog.com)

Actually, it is. You can save anywhere, anytime. You can "teleport" to any area you have previously visited anytime you wish. You progress the story at your own pace. There are literally 600+ side-quests. It will take you three months to finish the game, but it easily accommodates short play sessions.
