Never played legends, but I couldn't stand X7. 3D and MM shouldn't mix.

I hate CL or online listings were the CIB disc based game is shown out of it's case laying on a table (scratchable surface on the table). And it's normally a hard to find, or highly sought after game.

"Shmup" is far more elegant!

I haven't played Legends 2, but I do own the first one and I like it a lot! That said, I still wouldn't put most of the NES and SNES Mega Man titles before it.Raiiban wrote: You all seem to be forgetting that the best MM game ever is in fact... Megaman Legends 2.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Mega Man 2 is the only Mega Man game I've ever really been into. All the other titles feel similar, but inferior.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Just unlocked the "Real Time Girlfriend" mode in Love Plus. It's intriguing and I've never played anything like it, so I'll give it a shot. I wonder how much more personality Manaka has left...really, how much personality can you fit in a DS cart?
But "Real Time Girlfriend" mode gave me a strange idea. I could play this game for the rest of my life, but Manaka and my avatar would remain high school students forever. Of course it's impossible to plan a long-term life sim into the future.
With always-connected mobile devices, though, it could be possible to create a dating sim with girls that age with the player and a setting that keeps up with the times. Imagine buying Love Plus 2 on your iPhone, spending 2 years on high school, a few years in college, getting married, having kids...
The best part is, the dev team doesn't have to make it all at once - they'd only work on the college routes after finishing high school. Sure, all the different directions life can take would limit the scope of the project, but it's unprecedented and I'm kind of excited that it's possible now.
...Actually, the next Love Plus game will be a remake for the 3DS. Same game with more content and more detailed/adorable graphics. It'll never be localized, but THAT's how you do a 3DS commercial.

Honestly, I consider Legends in the same way I think of MMBN. It's pretty much a spinoff series that really has little to do with the main games. I don't think directly comparing the classic and X series to it makes a whole lot of sense.Raiiban wrote:That kind of awesome description is only making my claim more validAppleQueso wrote: Legends series more like Zelda with a gun arm.
Legends feels a bit clunky and dated control-wise, but it's a good game. Like I said, very Zelda-y. You do a lot of exploring, crawling through dungeons, finding and buying upgrades and parts for new weapons, etc.o.pwuaioc wrote:Never played legends, but I couldn't stand X7. 3D and MM shouldn't mix.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I think MMX4 was my favorite... no valid reason, but it was the most memorable for me.
