GBA.

Thanks! I got it for free on PSN, but I'd really like to play this on a portable and the Vita doesn't do PSOne games.

I played through the Final Fantasy Collection version some years ago. I loved customizing my party and thoroughly enjoyed the game. The difficulty - at least for me - ramped up significantly at the end of the game, and my battles against the optional bosses and the last boss were epic. I have played through a lot of RPGs, but I can still recall the strategy that I used to topple each of those monsters.) Accordingly, spend some time grinding and bring your "A" game when you head into the final dungeon.

(To respond to your question, however, the GBA port is superior to the PS1 port; so, if I were playing it again, that is the version that I would choose.)

On topic...I am about six hours into Final Fantasy III (NDS), and I am enjoying it so far. If you go back a few pages, you will see that I recently completed Dragon Warriror III; so, I am right at home with this no-frills, "old-school" JRPG.

Congrats! Is FFV next?

I tried to post this question, several times through my phone over the weekend but failed. :(

What's the best way for me to play FFV? (I don't read Japanese.)

The easiest, non-portable way is probably the PS1 version. I bought a Super Famicom cart, however, and hope to get it patched to play the English translation.

Finally started Planescape: Torment, really slow at playing and starting playing RPG's. Game's writing captured my interest quickly. I stumbled upon a secret and puzzle really fast, that took a moment to figure out. Then I had long dialog, that was actually interesting to read. Some sort of Buddhism related rebirth philosophy shit right off the bat. Leaves me thinking what the hell is wrong with new RPG's. But hey, thanks to Kickstarter we have some sweet stuff on the way.

Yeah, I'm hoping they add this feature at some point.

Well, I'm about 3/4 of the way through Persona 3 and it's really slowing down for me. I've definitely enjoyed the game until now, it's just that the excessive length of it is finally getting to me. Hopefully I'll wrap it up in a few weeks, I certainly can't afford to lose interest now.

Still playing Tales of Graces f. I would probably be a bit further, but I am playing on chaos difficulty. I imagine if I went all the way back down to normal I could breeze through a lot of the rest of the game. I've spent quite a bit of time grinding for titles. Only maybe half way through the game and at lvl 45 so far. And in the process of mastering a lot of titles.

Well, I just did a review on Shining the Holy Ark, so I'll be playing that for quite a while.

Working on Xenoblade Chronicles. Only about 5 hours in and enjoying it a lot. I hope to beat it before Last Story comes out.
