I actually fired up Thief Gold last night aswell, after an hour of Ricochet with the only other two people on the planet playing it.

So Doom 64 has rooms over rooms. That kinda blew my mind when I realized it.

It's pretty clever. I used to think Doom 64 was an all new 3D engine just made to look like Doom but apparently what they did was make it so the ceiling height changes depending on the direction the player is going. It simulates the effect of having rooms above and below each other.
You can glitch it up with the no-clip cheat.

I wish Doom 64 got more love, in that it was ported to every single system known to man like the original games. Every "collective" release of Doom should always include it.

It's unfortunate we only have the unofficial source ports on PC.
Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 64 make up the original trilogy to me (the game ends with Doomguy staying behind in Hell to continue the fight forever... which in my opinion is not-so-coincidentally related to where the new Doom starts).
Doom 64 It was honestly the sole reason I held onto my N64 for so long. Is it maybe because of some rights issues regarding Midway?

That's my only guess as well.

I'm feeling like the Doom 64 levels are more cramped than Doom and Doom 2. I base this on the fact that I keep killing myself with the rocket launcher while fighting Hell Knights.

I went ahead and bought Strife, thinking to myself that I could play it in the future after getting through the rest of my unbeaten FPS titles on GOG. Then I went through and counted how many FPS games I have yet to beat in my GOG collection.
This is gonna take a while.

Homefront: The Revolution makes me sad. It doesn't play well. At all. It runs at like a solid 20 or 25 fps (30 fps my ass), and the hit detection with regards to environmental obstacles is shit. I clearly have my crosshair on an enemy when aiming between gaps in a hand rail. I take the shot. Dented metal appears in front of me, floating in the air between the bars. It's 2016, and this game is running on the strongest home console (I'm playing on PS4). This is unacceptable, even for this studio's first game.
