Looks cool. Have you ever played Ticket to Ride? That's my favorite train game so far.
The boardgame scene seems so much better in Europe. Most anyone you meet here hasn't played anything more complex than Monopoly.

I know it's one of the most popular games out there but I've never played it

As far as I know, there's not much of a difference. Boardgames are a geeky hobby that is getting more popular among video gamers but that's it.
