I ordered a bunch of PS1 games.
I was initially just looking at the Namco Museum vol 4, for Ishtar no Fukkatsu, and a bunch of better versions of some games on the PC engine. Once I saw Ore Shika, and Tales of Phantasia, and realized that I could get 10% off by adding a few more to the order, I ended up with a few Oekaki Puzzle games (read: Picross) and Dragon Quest Monsters 1 - 2, among others.
Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke was probably the one I was most excited about, since it's by the creator of Linda Cube (possibly the best JRPG on the Saturn), but after going through and testing all the games, it seems kind of interesting, but maybe not as great as I might have thought it would be. Surprisingly, I got really sucked into Mystic Ark: Maboroshi Gekijou. I ended up finishing the first of seven chapters, and turning the Courage Fairy into a Courage Ark, whatever that means. It uses tank controls, which aren't great, and I haven't seen much in terms of the combat, outside of fighting a bat and a couple spiders, but the adventure gameplay is pretty good. I'm sort of debating whether I should just continue on with it, even though I haven't played Elnard, or the first Mystic Ark yet.
