I don't know. I'm a fan. Have all his stuff. I think Section80 is amazing, but Good Kid edges it out to me.oxymoron wrote:Good kid is a great album but no where near Lamar's best work.noiseredux wrote:Not a stretch in the leastttttttt. Good kid maad city is incredible.

Can you clarify who these "little underground" rappers that kendrick would destroy are?oxymoron wrote:Honestly, Kdot would destroy most of all those little underground New York rappers making diss' at him.

The 100% right guy chimes in:
First of all: Luke, Good Kid Maad City was easily the best rap album of 2012. This is not a stretch at all.
Second: Also, have you considered the reason the guest spot on this song is notable is not only for its name dropping, but for the sheer talent on display in terms of rhyming/speed/rhythm? It stands out from the rest of the track because it showcases what Kendrick does best, which is something that most of the rappers he name drops, in my experience, can't quite touch. He's gifted and he's flaunting, which is the heart and soul of a ton of rap. It's brilliant, I think.
Finally: I saw Kendrick in concert at my college earlier this year and the dude is the fucking bomb. Talent to spare crossed with appeal and intelligence in a way that I've not seen in rap for some time. Haters are gonna hate as always, but they're wrong.

I'll give you that, but there aren't many other new york rappers he would destroy.oxymoron wrote:Joell Ortiz for one.muhanad wrote:Can you clarify who these "little underground" rappers that kendrick would destroy are?oxymoron wrote:Honestly, Kdot would destroy most of all those little underground New York rappers making diss' at him.
