How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
I should probably specify that I'm looking for a less arcadey experience.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'd go for Sega GT, then.

There was something about Sonic Adventure 2 that I don't like.
I'm one of the rare people that prefer Sonic Adventure over Sonic Adventure 2. It's actually one of my favorite games ever and the reason I got into retro collecting.
I may try to pick it up again this summer

I'm with you there! I'll tell you what was "off" about SA2. Less Sonic levels, more bullshit treasure hunting levels, Tails and Robotnik were in slow robot suits and finally you were forced to play the levels in a certain order and forced to play those stupid robot and treasure hunting levels. At least on SA1 you could just fire up Sonic and play Sonic level after Sonic level, if you wanted to.

SA2 was more polished and linear, but SA1 felt more like an old-school Sonic game. SA2 is honestly the better game but I find myself more fond of the first.

That's exactly how I've always felt about it. I think a lot of people are starting to prefer Sonic Adventure 1 in retrospect.
It's fun and goofy and everything I love about what Sega was during that era.

Ordered Tokyo Xtreme Racer.

I still like SA1 but I can't stand the voice acting. To the point where I would prefer to not play it in front of anyone.
More updates to my Dreamcast gaming as its always in rotation at my house.
Resident Evil: Code Veronica - I think this is my favorite "tank control" RE game. I know RE2 is probably the better game but I find CV to be more challenging. In 2 I never felt like I was in danger of not finishing the game or having to reload an earlier save. In CV I was constantly running low on ammo and herbs. Heck on the final boss I was literally on the "danger" level of health and finished it off with my handgun. Fucking epic.
Quake 3 - Ran through the single player. While I always liked Unreal Tournament for my team based game types, nothing beats Q3 for some frantic death match action. Great fun as always and I wish wacky FPS games like this were still made today. I'm tired of realism.
Rayman 2 - Just started it so I don't have much to say quite yet. It sure is pretty though.
