If you make a bid on an item in the last few minutes a few more minutes is added to the item in question. That way you can't snipe items as it gives the previous winning bidder a chance to respond.

Well, at the time, I had around $400-$500 more than I thought. My bank doesn't notify me when the university pays me for work.
