I've been wanting to play that. Last I checked it's pretty expensive.

I guess I'll read the short story instead.
You can order the game from Harlan Elison's site, it's not cheap (50 bucks + shipping) but it's definetely worthwhile, even with it's clunky animations and overly disturbing scenes. BTW Thanks Hobie, I won't sleep or use a computer again EVER after playing this thing .

So far it's one of the most disturbing games I've ever played, the game's villain, AM (A computer/slash demigod) tortures SPOILERS: One of the characters by placing her in a weird, egyptian-like place that's colored yellow. She's TERRIFIED of the color yellow, why? A janitor wearing a yellow-suit locked the elevator where she was and he raped her for hours. This is just cruel .
Once you finish that one up, why not see if you can get a hold of Dark Seed, H.R. Giger's point-and-click? It's brutal, but artistically it is quite interesting.
My damn internet is being such a pain lately, preventing me from loving up Bad Company 2 some more. So I was set on playing MUSHA with a lot of you guys talking about it recently (and I think I beat it years ago myself), but for now... listened to a lot of Thunder Force music again earlier today, and I realized I've never beaten 3 on the Genesis (I've only beaten the SNES port Thunder Spirits), so here comes Thunder Force III!

I have the Sega Saturn version of Dark Seed . The text's in japanese but the dialog isn't so it's import friendly, just snag a walkthrough and you'll be fine.

Sweet deal. Was the sequel released on the Saturn as well?

They did. Big problem... they stopped being lazy at GAGA (I swear that's the name of the company that developed the port , maybe Lady Gaga has some strange origins involving japanese game ports ) and they FULLY translated the game which means that everything's in japanese so I will have to find a copy of Dark Seed 2 for DOS . Also, it's kind of rare.

FYI the story was changed a bit for the game. The way the story runs kind of makes it impossible to be a game. The characters and the theme is the same though.

I need to reinstall this at some point, grab a walkthrough and finish it. Fuck that jail cell puzzle though.

I just read the short story and I only have to complete Ted's story to see what comes next. You are right, the story is impossible to adapt into a game without changes and TBH I'm liking the direction of the game much more.
As for Dark Seed... geez am I the only that uses walkthroughs on point and click games? Most of them have the most complicated, overthought and nearly retarded solutions for the simplest things. I still have memories of the subway puzzle in The Longest Journey and how you had to combine string, an inflatable duck and some clamps to grab a key that's on the tracks. You could've easily used the string to solve that .
