Plenty of GameStop stores around here have it for $30 now. Although they probably only have 1 copy, which would make it "GameStop new". Meaning, not sealed and potentially "borrowed" by employees...
Yes it is 'new' in that regard and was the only copy. But everything is mint and if the disc was scratched, I could fix it at work since we have a disc resurfacer. I went to the good Gamestop store in my town to avoid the constant begging for pre-orders and shallow conversations about COD.

I had a nice conversation with the guy closing, I've known him for awhile and like him because he's not all in your face about filling his quota. He's just a gamer. We all most likely don't like their business practices and I wholeheartedly agree, but that one store has good workers and is a good example of 'hate the law not the judge.'

Yup. When I pre-ordered Tales of Graces f the guy I talked to was awesome. Luckily it wasn't busy so we talked for maybe 15 min, haha.

Hope you like Neptunia. I will say that I believe mk2 to be a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE improvement over the original. So even if you don't like the 1st one, I would say it is worth it to give mk2 a shot eventually.

Part of the reason I got it is because I know it won't get any cheaper, hell the online prices are kind of insane for fully used copies.

I'll play it and probably find something I like about it. I almost thought about getting Mk2 while I was there, but decided I would wait until next paycheck at least.

I don't think anyone wants a Neptunia art book that has been "borrowed" by an employee.

That was the standard edition. You aren't likely to find the LE that cheaply. I sold mine a while back, but I don't think I'll be selling mk2. This one is actually a keeper. At least I think so now. I'll report back when I actually complete the game.

Anyone else think it's weird that these games are dedicated to the console wars but were only released on one console?

I mean, there should have been versions on the PS3, 360, and Wii..... that way there could be games about the console wars released on warring consoles...

Incredibly niche games are hard enough to profit off of on a single console.

Anyone else putting time into mk2? It's really a very good RPG. As much as I liked the concept of the original, this one is so much better. Wish more people would play/talk about mk2 on here. It's quite good, surprisingly.

yeah I've been playing this week. It's good. I think I enjoy the battle system so much more in mk2, although I found the first one funnier -- though maybe that's a product of not having another game to compare it to at the time. (The review I published on YSG, not written by me, kind of hits the nail on the head). But yeah, the new battle system is so fun that I think I'll probably overlook not enjoying the story quite as much and just enjoy playing the sequel more.
