another solid disney game. this one is a bit tougher than aladdin and took me probably between 6-8 run throughs before finally beating it. and like aladdin, once i got the levels down i was able to fly through them with no problem. i could have sworn that i have beaten this game in the past, but had no idea how to beat the final boss. i normally don't like looking things up, but i wasted 3 or 4 continues just on the last boss/level and didn't want to have to go through the whole game again just to have another chance. there would have been no way i would have figured him out because you are supposed to do a move that i didn't know even existed in the game.

i have one more disney game that i didn't beat last year - mickey mania -and two that i did beat last year - world of illusion and toy story. i will probably run through those three next and go huntin' for some more disney games.

Make sure to pick up quackshot 8)

I love the Lion King game. The first few worlds are really fun, and the stampede is awesome. I love the Pride Rock theme on the first level. The levels as adult simba aren't quite as good, but they're still ok - apart from that awful hyena maze level. What is it with 8 and 16 bit games and horrible labyrinths before the final boss? Surely no-one finds them fun?

Anyhow, the boss gave me trouble too, but once you figure out what you're supposed to do, its not so hard. Luckily I have the manual, so I knew about the attack you need. I hear its easier to execute in the SNES version.

I have a feeling I'm going to get apathetic about posting after completing a game because thats what happened midway through last year.

1. Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions (Xbox 360)
2. Power Stone 2 (DC)
3. Dynamite Cop (DC)
4. Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate (Xbox)
5. Dead or Alive 3 (Xbox)

I freaking love Dead or Alive. Easily my favorite 3d fighter.

I got the urge to play these again, but rather than pulling out my Xbox (and possibly only playing a couple of matches to scratch the itch before quitting) I decided to start fresh files by playing on my 360.

Completion here means that I completed the story with every character in both games, as well as earning every single unlockable in both games (something that takes quite a while where Ultimate is concerned).

I love this damn series, and I'm excited for Dimensions on 3DS.

I loved Trax, even though it was really short. You should kind of write up a bit about each game you beat. It's a lot more fun to read that way. :)

Will do, I liked Trax a lot while it lasted. Thanks for the recommendation on that one.

1. Trax (GB) Short but sweet, only being able to rotate the cannon one way adds more depth to the gameplay rather than being a liability.
2. New Adventure Island (TG-16) Faster than Mario, more straightforward than Sonic. My first TG-16 game, I loved how vibrant and colorful everything was. Highly recommended.

Metal Torrent- DSiWare
Kirby Super Star Ultra - NDS
DoDonPachi - PS1
Cruis'n USA - N64
Cruis'n World - N64
DonPachi - PS1*new*
Cut the Rope - iPhone*new*

TOTAL: 7

DonPachi is another great shmup that I confined myself to $1 worth of credits to beat. It took several tries as the last two levels are hard as shit, but it's really a great game. I prefer its sequel, but the original is no slouch!

Cut the Rope took me a long time to beat over many play sessions, but certainly deserves its high praise. It is easily one of the better physics based puzzle games I've played on a platform that is crowded with them. On a related note, I am really surprised by how much gameplay is packed into some of these $1 downloads...I am currently working through NFS: Hot Pursuit on the iPhone and it is almost as in depth and lengthy as its console cousin.

Oh, I also beat Super PSTW Action RPG (flash game), but I can't in good conscious start counting those.... :P

Mass Effect 2. Got Paragon ending, and kept my squad alive amazingly, though I lost over half the actual crew. The Cain is the most awesomely broken gun ever.

EDIT: total- 3

Street Fighter Alpha (PS2)(Fighting)
Extermination (PS2)(Survival Horror)
Spyro the Dragon (PS1)(Platformer)
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (PS1)(Platformer)
Myst III: Exile (PC)(Graphic Adventure)(

TOTAL: 7

I started playing this around 10:00 last night and got so into it, I realized I was still awake and playing it at 5:00 am. After sleeping a bit and waking up, I started it up only to discover that I was pretty much at the end of the game. Myst 3 was highly enjoyable for me, with intriguing worlds, highly creative puzzles, and an entertaining storyline spread throughout the game. I believe the game was easier than the previous two installments, though I've had only a little experience with Riven, and I haven't played Myst in years. The game implemented the classic point-and-click gameplay of the series, but incorporated a free-look system which allowed the player to examine a nearly 360 degree sphere around him at each locale. It made for a nice little upgrade in a genre known for still shots, though folks who want free range movement would be disappointed. It also made me remember how much I miss the old point-and-click genre and the Myst series in general.
