A rich man with no family is much more poor then a poor Man with lots of family.
I can spin that the other way around saying: What's the point of having kids when you can spend the extra money on yourself and your SO? The money and time spent on the kid would be better spent on pursuing your hobbies, passions, and ambitions.

In the end, you can't take anything with you. We all die alone. There is no point to anything, except enjoying what time we have. That is *it*. I don't plan on squandering that wiping poopy butts and driving to soccer practice.
yes i agree but saying people with kids are less happy than people without kids is insulting and being a prick.
It's sad that quoting a result from a peer reviewed journal is considered "being a prick".
We are prepared to live in the plain and die in the plain!
you guys are all some really, really unhappy people. why don't you have a kid or something. or garner a lot of money, either way.
it's really funny watching people create "logical" and "scientific" reasoning for things after being inspired by personal experience and emotional investment to do so.

Some.
People.
Don't.
Want.
Kids.
I'm guessing you've never had a girlfriend...
I don't know if that statement is more sexist, or stupid.

I never have understood when people say that "we die alone" saying.
Degenerate Alcoholics with no discernible family die alone, my parents won't die alone but with my hand in there's.

Have you even read what you typed? You talk about spending money on "YOUR" hobbies, "YOUR" passions, "YOUR" ambitions. With a mindset like that you truly will die alone.
