Yeah...I'm thinking pass now. I played more, and...this is a great port of a crap game. It's becoming very clear now. I just cant seem to enjoy these dated controls. SNK and Namco are immensely more talented and risk-taking when it comes to fighting games. Capcom refuses to abandon this stiff, elementary 90's combat structure.
Basically, if I want a deep 3D fighter, I go Namco. If I want a polished 2D fighter, I go SNK or GGX. If I want a fun party fighter, I go with all the fighting games Capcom has made that WEREN'T SF.
I've been waiting so long for this. Fuck, I'm depressed now.

Re: Street Fighter 4: Dedicated Post-Release Impression Thread
Well EVO is in about a week or so. most everyone who is serious about this game.....just wants to play at EVO so they can move on to BlazBlue or KOF12 or ANYTHING. SF4 is completely awesome don't get me wrong. I learned playing SF4 I really don't want to play at such a high level at any game. For me to get as good as I wanted to for the tournament I had to play that game to often. I guess winning is fun, but playing whatever you want is more fun for me.
It has been a fun experiment. I generally don't get this good at any game so it was fun to see how much detail is really in there. Competing and winning in local tournaments has actually been awesome. Now I've come all the way full circle and just don't care about getting any better. Funniest part is as good as I've gotten tournament results at EVO will probably be 0-2. I just don't have the time or love for one single game these guys do, and I don't want too. Watching the pro's do insane techniques now that will be fun.
SF4, some people hate you, I just need a long, long break ok?

How do you activate those SSF2 remixes in the Xbox 360 version? I know I heard them while playing it but it was in arcade mode during a rival fight. I would like to listen to it in a normal match.Mozgus wrote:Here's the PC benchmark running on my machine, with comments:

Moz, it's like I've said - this is Super Street Fighter II Turbo 3D Remix.
As much as I like Capcom, I've never cared much for Street Fighter. I got SFIV anyway, basically because I'm a tool who gives in to peer pressure easily. Even though I technically got it for free (B2G1), I still would have preferred getting something else in its place.
I still play SFIII:Third Strike more than SFIV. That game still feels more fresh to me than SFIV.

Third Strike and Alpha 2-3 were far superior to what we have now, I definitely agree.the7k wrote:I still play SFIII:Third Strike more than SFIV. That game still feels more fresh to me than SFIV.

Thirded, SF:IV blows compared to Capcom's other fighters.Mozgus wrote:Third Strike and Alpha 2-3 were far superior to what we have now, I definitely agree.the7k wrote:I still play SFIII:Third Strike more than SFIV. That game still feels more fresh to me than SFIV.

Re: Street Fighter 4: Dedicated Post-Release Impression Thread
It took 3 revisions of SF3 to get that game the way it is. Give SF4 time. SF3 T.S. has been played to death. Considering how broken KOF is in so many ways SF4 seems that much better to me now. SNK makes a good fighting system, but their oresentation and online are just garbage,
