So any real advise? I was told by a Greek woman who lived in the Netherlands that they even spray their clothes with something to make it more resistant to the moist weather :S

Well, there are water-resistant sprays, but you don't put those on regular clothing. Only on certain types of jackets/coats or shoes. Damp weather won't hurt you unless you have really horrible allergies to mildew or mold. You'll be fine.

I don't have allergies, but I get a running nose from sleeping without a blanket during the summer in Greece, so I better pack some warm clothes....or buy them there
