I'm playing Lunar: Silver Star Harmony on PSP. I'm pretty sure it's the best version of Lunar and I like exploring the world a lot. Combat is boring and the story is strange, but it really is a fun world to explore. After that I'll play The Black Fortress on PC. Really cool 90s style computer RPG, and there's even the widescreen option :)

I think I have finally settled into a comfortable groove with Devil Survivor 2 and Shining Force GBA. Devil Survivor is tough as nails!

Best version of Lunar?! Those load times drive me insane.

It certainly is better than the GBA port I'm playing right now though.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I played an old-school Final Fantasy game. How do I stop Doom? You know the countdown to insta-death? Is there a way?

I hope your loving it as much as I did. Finally getting Lamia was one of my favorite RPG moments.

Maybe a couple hours into Persona 3 on the Vita. So far it seems interesting, but I've only had one fight and have been pretty much watching cut scenes. How long until it picks up?

The game doesn't really "pick up" like a regular RPG. You're stuck to the pace it sets for you. You follow the in-game calendar which, to my knowledge, you can't ignore and speed up the game.

You can't remove it. The timer can be stopped when the character is under the effects of stop, but then they aren't fighting.

If I recall the structure of the opening, first there is the scene setting, then the tutorial boss where you first awaken your persona, then more scene setting, then you get access to Tartarus, the main dungeon. Once you reach that point you have the option of doing Tartarus in the evening. Additionally, every month there will be a short secondary dungeon plus a storyline boss fight; those happen at fixed points in the calendar and cannot be rushed to.

The PSOne version is the best, in my opinion. Can't beat John Truitt as Ghaleon's voice actor.
