I started learning Futari God yesterday. Have everything up to the stage 2 boss down pat now.
Holy smokes! God mode makes my eyes hurt so bad, so much on the screen lol!
There are points that are just ".... where am I on the screen right now, I can't see anything but numbers"

Drives me mad in stage 2, there is one icicle that has a group of jellyfish near it. Not the usual jellyfish that spawn from the icicle and get canceled with it, but a random cluster. When you cancel the icicle of course the screen just fills with gems, and every damn time, right when I cancel, those jellyfish will ram right into me. My route now just has me going around them completely, fuck those guys!

I picked up a couple today via PSN:

Strikers 1945 Plus - for PSP/Vita only
Prehistoric Isle - PS3/Vita
Alpha Mission II (PS3 only)
Super Star Soldier - PS3/Vita
Soldier Blade - PS3/Vita

I was really excited the TG16 titles worked on the Vita as Alien Crush was PS3 only when I picked it up. Awesome bonus to be able to download on both systems.

In a TG-16 mindset of late and busted out my physical copy of Blazing Lazers. I saw someone previously describe it as "advanced beginner" and i'm a-okay with that.

Started last night and really only putzed around with the controls and scoring but tonight worked through a number of stages to reach Stage 4 and ended with 955,950 points.

If only the gamepad didn't cramp the hell out of my left hand.

I've been playing two recent Steam pickups: Danmaku Unlimited 2 and Crimzon Clover: World Ignition.

Both are sexy.

I rearranged the 2 bookshelves that include about 90% of my games so I can access my SNES games that I've neglected due to the stacks of cartridges blocking the stacks that have been neglected (or something like that). So I thought, let's play some Super R-Type...

Well, now I remember why it's been a while since I played this. It's hard. Even on easy mode I am getting my ass handed to me multiple times.

Just a heads up but Metal Torrent for the 3DS (DS Ware) is 200 coins with Club Nintendo this month. I had heard semi-good things on the shmups forum about it.

TRP-STGT 2014 Results finally announced!

http://dodonpachi.daifukkat.su/stgt/2014/

My team finished 2nd! 8) I can't take too much credit, as Kyper was the star of our team, but I did manage some respectable scores...

Games played were: Raiden Fighters, Gemini Wing, Sengeki Striker, Andro Dunos, Cybattler.

I'm currently in a tournament representing the GameEx forum. We're playing against 5 other forums (Donkey Kong Forums, RetroUprising, Aussie Arcade, Atari Age, & EpiGroove) in 24 arcade games till 8/5.

4 of the games are shmups, here's where I stand in the top 30 for these -

19xx (4th overall)
Raiden (19th overall)
Sonic Wings (11th overall)
Super Spacefortress Macross (24th overall)

I need to do better on Raiden

Is that the 'Internet Gaming Bash' thing? I remember some posts about that on Shmups Forum.

Ah, I found their scoreboard. I've played 3 of the shmups recently and my best scores would rank as 2nd for 19xx, 2nd for Sonic Wings, and 5th for Raiden. Maybe I should have entered! :)
