Do it. Worth it.soul_hacker wrote:Why do I have such horrible luck with NESes? >:( Why is nothing working to fix these things? Ugh, I should just shell out the cash for a composite modded top loader.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I can never decide what to buy. Im sitting here looking at all these imports I want to order, and I can't for the life of me make a decision on which to get first. I just keep second guessing with thoughts like; "Maybe this one because its cheaper then I've seen it before." "I rarely see this so maybe I should go for this one." "Oh but I do want to start collecting this series/set of games maybe now is a good time to start."
What is wrong with me.

I wan't even aware that sega made consoles as a kid. literally every friend I had owned Nintendo consoles and playstations. I thought the dreamcast was a game-and-watch-style handheld for years, because I had never seen one...
Sega Genesis (Model 2), Sega CD, Sega 32X, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Game Boy Family, Phillips CD-i Model 910, NES, Atari 5200, Virtual Boy, Atari Jaguar, Playstations 3-4
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
You must be a bit younger than I thought you were, because when I was a kid, Sega was ubiquitous. Nintendo and Sega certainly had a standoff, but Sega was "cooler", for some reason. SFII, MKII? Only on the Genesis. (Weird how I switched to SNES for those two now.)

I remember as a kid being confused between the Sega CD and Sega Saturn. As far I was concerned, they both used discs so what's the difference?

Excluding the Genesis, I don't think I played a game on a Sega system until I was 27 or so.

My grandparents had a Master System. Used to play Hang On/Safari Hunt, Great Football, and Pro Wrestling on it a bunch. I still have those carts...BoneSnapDeez wrote:Excluding the Genesis, I don't think I played a game on a Sega system until I was 27 or so.
I also remember the Dreamcast "It's thinking..." ads pretty well, and being plenty surprised when I read about Sega pulling out of the console market.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I grew up thinking the Genesis was Sega's first system. I mean, it's called a "Genesis" for crying out loud!

The name Mega drive is much more rad than Genesis.
