Just talking about me.

I'm a bit odd.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Hullo! Just came across this place after a Keith Apicary vid  I'm a huge NES collector and the guy behind NES-Bit. Also involved in something called Pixel Nation which is a retro book publisher. I'm 32 and a retro nut, what more is there to say? 8)

Well, I probably should have done this a long time ago... My name is Jonny and I've been coming to this site for years and lurking on the message boards until I finally recently decided to join up. I first stumbled across Racketboy while searching for info about my favorite defunct gaming mag - Gamefan! Just want to say that this is a great community and I've already bought and traded with several of You and its been nothing but wonderful experiences. Besides games, I've been playing guitar for 15 years, and love to perform at the local clubs with my band. Oh, and I'm from East Texas (about a hundred miles from Dallas).

Hi everybody!

I'm a 32 year old guy. I'm originally from chicago, but i've lived in indiana, florida, and I spent a year in Japan on the JET Program. In august i'll be starting grad school to study space studies and mission design. (my dream is to work at NASA)

I enjoy retro gaming and current gaming. I began gaming on the tail end of the atari and coleco generation and then really got into gaming with the original NES. I also got a lot of mileage out of my sega genesis, sega cd, snes, ps1, saturn, n64, xbox, ps2, and xbox360. I've also owned a gameboy and a lynx.

Some of my favorite games include the original Legend of Zelda, the 8 and 16 bit metroids, Monkey Island, goldeneye, and GTA:SA.

I'm currently working on Metroid 2 for gameboy and Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare on the 360.

I posted a few times on these boards months ago, but now i'm thinking about assimilating myself into the forum community and I just wanted to say hi!

Hey im Joe 28 live in MD. Love classics (that term just makes me feel old) especially sega games and neo geo. I collect anything 32bit and before and I am about to pull the trigger on my first arcade cabinet. Im an active duty medic in the army by trade and cannot stand call of duty games. Already been enjoying the nice people on these forums and have even bought a couple things off them.

Oh where do I begin here....

As my username says, my name is Vince. I'm 28 years old (well, not for long, I turn 29 on Tuesday), and I hail from Southern California. No, not from LA, or OC or SD. From the IE!

I found this website initially because I was bored and was looking up Nintendo 64 stuff (tech info or something like that), started perusing the guides here, liked them enough to buy some games based on recommendations from said guides (Iridion II anyone???), and then lurked around in the forums enough to be like "hey, maybe I should join in!" so I did.

I've been a gamer for most of my life, starting with the NES in the late 80s (I was one of those who got the Action Set on a lovely Christmas morning in 1988 if I'm not mistaken). 3 years later I got myself a Super Nintendo and went from being a regular gamer to a hardcore gamer. Got an N64 years after that, then Gamecube, got somewhat disinterested, started doing some PC gaming late highschool/early college. Brought my SNES out of retirement, discovered emulators, then went a few years without much gaming at all, then ironically it was the Angry Video Game Nerd that got me back into retro gaming. Couple that with a buddy of mine who was also into retro gaming, and now I'm here. That's the short story. I'll post a longer version in the forum topic about "your console history" (I think that's what it's called).

PS - I don't have an profile pic/avatar/icon yet because I don't have any pictures that small and trying to find one online reminded me of those horrible early days of when I first used AOL Instant Messenger in college and trying to find a cool buddy icon to show the world "Hey, I'm cool!".
