Traveled to Chicago to visit family this past week. I did some hunting at quite a few thrift stores and some game stores and didn't find much (will post next week). The thrift stores in the Chicago area are awful for video games and the retro game stores are pretty unreasonably high priced. I cringed when I asked how much something was and they told me to "hold on" while they checked eBay for "buy it now" prices. No thanks! I did happen to get some boxed goodness through a Craig's List deal with a guy in Wisconson. I won't say what I paid because I'm going to resell/trade some of this but it wound up being not so great a deal because I paid $140 to ship all this home.
I got the following in the deal:
Boxed Sega Master System, Genesis, CD, 32X; SNES, NES, Atari Jaguar; Turbo Grafx 16.
Loose Atari 5200 & 7800. Also some random games and odds and ends (not pictured).
I mainly wanted the SMS, Sega CD, & SNES boxes and the NES & Gen variants.

I already had the other systems boxed. I'll get a trade list up next weekend. I'm probably going the eBay route but would be willing to trade FAIRLY if anyone is interested in the TG-16, 32X, or Jaguar. Aside from the gross underestimate I made in calculating what it would cost to ship all this home, I'm pretty happy and excited to add these boxed systems to my collection. Now if only I could finally secure a Neo Geo AES...

Nice haul man... I imagine the shipping hurt, but honestly I don't think that's unreasonably high for how much you got there, sadly enough. Had to have packed it well for that price at least.
As to the AES... just keep your eyes peeled. I broke down when I saw one on ebay for $250, which is STILL high for a system to me, buuuuut it was a US system (which I eventually put a unibios in anyway, shut up), in the "Sweet spot" of serial numbers for best video output, and came with 2 oldschool sticks with it, so I considered it a good deal. Ended up getting a little bit of a runaround with the second stick (it had a bum start button, so he sent me a dpad while he got it "fixed" and said "You can either keep the dpad if you like it or I'll send you the stick when it's done", the SELLER eventually bought a completely separate stick from a different seller to send to me, and he included a CB copy of Sengoku as a "Sorry for the hassle" -- I sent him back the dpad because he really went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and I didn't feel right keeping it), but it all worked out in the end.
Now I just need to start slowly collecting carts for it when there's good deals.

Not bad I got them on Ebay for $2 a piece but it doesn't have the cardboard bundle box.
I've been having a good a lot of good luck on Ebay lately. *Knock on wood*

Just stumbled onto some poorly listed lots that have some pretty good stuff in them. With only 19 hours left I am the only bidder on either one

so I have my fingers crossed. Would be sweet to get both for $2 dollars total plus shipping but I have a feeling the seller will back out if that does happen

.
What does the lot have?

It's 27" wide, and I originally heard about it through a Facebook group associated with the college I went to, where people post things for buy/sell/trade. Ended up scoring it for 50 bucks. Now all my systems pre-PS3/360 are hooked up to it, and I'm enjoying a much clearer picture with them all. The only downside is it turns out that both TV remotes effect both TV's, so I was forced to put a piece of tape over the RF receiver on the Trinitron. Oh well, definitely a small price to pay for the improved look.
When you Quote someone, please include their name.Smart move covering up that Remote Receiver on the Trinitron. Most of the larger tube Sonys have a faulty set of Power Detection Chips. A multiple power off and on of the TV tends to make them fail. An
Inexpensive Fix if they do fail, but a bit tricky to solder in the replacement sockets and newer MCZ3001DB chips.

Nice find on the consoles. Oh go ahead and put the price even if you are going to resell. Part of the fun in reading thru the Thread is the stories and how much is spent.
What were the games and extras you picked up?
