I was about to mention how happy I was that 16/17 year old me had the foresight to keep the manual and inserts for Twin Snakes....then I actually checked the case and realized that they're gone

Damnit, all. I swear I left a gold mine of video game stuff at the house I grew up in!

I know it's not technically a video game purchase, but I'll be picking up a Sony Trinitron later today so that I can finally play my Genesis games without them looking like utter garbage. I'll probably be hooking up my PS2 to it as well.

Very nice! I have two of the C64/2600 versions, love the tactical clicks and the light spings inside. The Epyx is so much more comfortable in control versus other joysticks of the era. Never seen a Genesis version, I have been keeping an eye out for the NES model.

Pitfall the Lost Expedition(Xbox)
Guilty Gear X2 Reload(Xbox) *disc only*
The Suffering(PS2)
Champions of Norrath(Ps2)
TMNT(PS2)
Animal Crossing(GC) *missing manual*

and the crown jewel .Hack Mutation(PS2) *disc only but in good shape*. Still need parts 3 & 4 and would like to get them all complete, but am excited to finally bump into a .hack game in the wild :).

Also picked up a loose copy of Half Life 2 in the deal but realized it was to far gone to repair when I got home. Was inspecting it a little closer and noticed a central crack had made it all the way to the read area :P.

Three bucks apiece for the CIBs, especially for Champions Norrath nice finds!

The .hack games will get you collecter frenzy, they also come with a bonus DVD each.

That GC Animal Crossing is even harder to get to CIB, has a ton of extras including various flyers, stickers and the memory card with a startup game save. Still a good price, congrats!

Maybe post only after you have it so you can include the Find story and maybe a mini review of the TV?

As an owner of two HD CRT Wegas, always love reading about another Sony CRT owner. My Avatar Name gives my preference of gaming screen. :D

Model number, size and cost? Where did you find it?

Really wanting to get all the .Hack games CIB for the DVDs but really it isn't necessary since I can stream the videos online. However the collector side of me is itching to get a CIB copy.

Might start a new play through once I get ahold of part 3. Part 4 on the other hand is going to have to wait :P its a little to pricey for me to justify since $70-$90 would be 25+ games at the Pawn which I hit on a daily basis.

Might go back tonight to make sure they didn't put out any more pieces of the series since it is odd to just stumble across part 2 by itself.

I got .hack 1-4 several years ago. Still need a double-DVD case for part four, mine's in a regular DVD case and the anime is housed separately.

They are pricey now, but I think the GU games are even more expensive.

I never felt motivated to actually play any of these games beyond Infection though, I must say...

yeah i was always shocked that these jumped so high in value. they struck me as really, really mediocre games. i had more fun with Jade Cocoon 2, Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits and Legaia 2, and those pretty sucked.

Even though the combat and levels were pretty grindy I really liked the game when I was younger. However I never got around to beating it till a year or two ago and by then the prices had skyrocketed :P.

I think the main things that drew me to the game was the vast amount of randomized levels, the party ai, the loot, and the story.

I like .hack and its concept but I have the same problem, it starts to really wear out after a while.

I need to stop browsing thrift stores, I'm running out of room for CIB systems.
